I stopped by this new Indian spot on their grand opening, and I have to say, it really stood out. They’ve got some authentic Bengali dishes on the menu, and the owner himself comes up with the recipes and even serves the food; you can tell he really cares.
There are plenty of Indian restaurants in the Bay Area, but it’s not easy to find one where the spices are just right, flavorful, aromatic, and not heavy or over the top. This place nails it. You actually enjoy the food while eating and don’t feel weighed down after.
I tried the fish fry, mutton biryani, mutton kasha, and peas curry. All were great, but the fish fry was the star. I honestly think people will come here just for that.

The Karaishutir kachuri and luchi for breakfast on Mohaloya was so delicious.
