This was our first time visiting a Better Buzz Coffee. Sad to say, I don't think we'll go back.
*The short of it: Food/coffee is good enough. Definitely not budget-friendly.
The drive-thru line was a little long, but manageable. The young man that took our order was friendly.
But I was flying blind on the prices as my order was taken by an individual, quite a ways back from the menu. (And yes, I told him it was my first time. No, he didn't offer any guidance on pricing.)
I ordered 2 coffees (a cinnamon cold brew and a "snickerdoodle latte"), two basic breakfast sandwiches, and a muffin. My total was $44 and change. (More than twice what I typically spend at Starbucks.)
The breakfast sandwich was quite yummy (definitely tasted better than Starbucks or Black Rock, for about the same price). The coffee was good, but smaller than Starbucks and definitely not worth about $10 a cup. The muffin was on the small side, half of which was baked into the wrapper.
Having said all that, I understand (now) that it's a trendy coffee joint and not intended for single income households on a tight budget. This place fits in nicely with the general bujee vibe of Queen Creek.
The inside look nice... Lots of black accents. (Very fancy!) And the outside patio was completely full of people. Quite the happening place!
{For some reason, it's not allowing me to add pictures. Otherwise I'd show you what our order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe needed a local spot to meet with one of our clients who lives in the area. We chose Better Buzz because of its location. As a coffee lover, this also gave me the opportunity to try something other than Starbucks or Dutch Bros, which seems to be in every corner. I was initially impressed by the look and feel of the interior. It is definitely more upscale than what you find at most other coffee shops in the area. The employees were pleasant. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to be knowledgeable about their products. It baffles me why coffee shops hire individuals who do not like coffee. I ended up taking the safe route and ordered an Americano. My clients got an iced coffee. I personally enjoyed the Ammericano. It was well balanced and delicious. You could tell that they use premium beans. It was much less acidic tasting than its green and white competitor. I would definitely order it again. I'm actually looking forward to it. My clients seemed to enjoy their drinks, but we had other things of importance to discuss. All-in-all, it was a good experience. I think with a little more training and maybe employee taste testing, the service experience could improve dramatically. I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExcited to try a new coffee joint in the area as Starbucks or Dutch are the only other options close by. However after trying it twice Iām just over it already. The smoothies are way overpriced. I had the pink dragon smoothie. Great to try once, but I just canāt justify the price ($8). The staff that take the orders at the drive-thru are not consistent which turned me off even more. One guy said their lemonade is literally āMinute Maidā while another said itās made in house. Um ok? Another person checked if I wanted to top my drink off since I said no ice while this other girl at the window told me Iām supposed to tell them ahead of time to top it off since some people like to leave room to put their own ice in after she gave me my drink half empty/full. So yeah. Customer service needs work. Itās all about anticipating needs and not making the customer feel like itās...
