Sir Munchies Pizza — Restaurant in Sandusky

My family and I are from Michigan and staying at Great Wolf Lodge this weekend and decided try local pizza. We chose to stop into Sir Munchies on Warren. We were greeted by the owner Alan. He took our order and we went to our car parked out front to wait for our pie. I went in and got our order and when I got back to the car, it would not start. I went back into the pizza place and asked if anyone could give us a jump. Alan told me he would help and came out with his truck and jumper cables. We connected the cables and still our car would not start. Alan suggested that we keep it connected for a bit to allow our battery to charge. We decided to try the pizza while the battery was charging. It was the best pizza we have tried in quite a while. My kids even liked it and they don't like anything. The crust is on the thinner side so it stayed crispy. We also got the bread sticks and they were really good too. After charging for a while we tried it again and our car wouldn't start. We called a wrecker and it was going to be 25 minute wait. All of a sudden, Alan along with a coworker came out with a tool to clean the terminals. He disconnected the battery terminals and cleaned the terminals and the battery post. We tried it and the car started right up. We were so relieved because we are from out of town and had our 4 kids with us. I offered to pay him but he refused any cash. He said he doesn't need payment because "We're a community". My sister and I ate at Sir Munchies Pizza and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The people here are so kind and welcoming – the guy who helped us was super nice and cool, which made the experience even better.

We tried three different things and every single one blew us away:

🍕 Margherita Pizza – Perfectly baked with fresh mozzarella, spinach, and tomatoes. The crust had that ideal balance of crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, and the flavors were so fresh and satisfying.

🥖 Philly Steak Sub – This thing was HUGE! Packed full of tender steak, gooey melted cheese, and grilled veggies inside a perfectly toasted roll. It was hearty, flavorful, and honestly one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had.

🍇 Blueberry Cobbler Dessert Pizza – Oh wow. This was the star of the night! Sweet, juicy blueberries baked into a cobbler-style pizza and drizzled with icing. It tasted like comfort food in the best way – the perfect ending to an amazing meal.

Between the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff, Sir Munchies is the kind of place you instantly want to come back to. If you’re looking for a spot with delicious pizza, unique desserts, and genuinely great people, you won’t regret coming here.

Ordered door dash, got an entirely wrong order. Ordered two Phillies with mushroom and onions and mayo, got one Philly with no mushrooms, onions, mayo, and a sub that had sausage and pepperoni. Never got any water (I ordered three.) Called The restaurant and spoke to a guy that said he would make it right and send his driver. Told him thanks so much. Got a call back saying they had no sub rolls and I settle for the fold overs. He asked to make sure DoorDash didn’t take money so I called them to make sure they didn’t refund, they said it was too late so I called to tell them I would pay the 25.18 they refunded (the bill was over 47.00) and it rang and rang (it was still open as it was 10:43 pm) so we waited for a delivery or call. NOTHING. Stayed up past midnight waiting and didn’t hear one word, not a call, nothing.
