The Farmhouse Kitchen and Grill — Restaurant in Sandusky

We eat here every time we come. It is our favorite restaurant. We have been coming to this park for many years. Beef is cooked to perfection, juicy, and tender while being cooked thoroughly. Fries are crunchy but tender inside. The smashed fried potatoes are extremely salty. I tried wiping some of it off but felt the effects of too much salt. I'm not sure if it's because of new employees because I don't remember it being this much of an issue last year. Pasta is not mac and cheese. It has a slight pesto flavor that is delicious. It is kid friendly, but kids will notice, especially if they have sensory issues. They have gluten-free options here, too. Tell employees of food restrictions, and they are happy to assist. The manager was friendly and answered all my questions. They offer two different salads, breaded chicken and vegetarian house salad. They also looked fresh, but this was opening weekend. They have been fresh looking in the past both during the summer and the fall. I have not tried the deserts. We have the dining and drink season deal that we use here, making this a good deal. So you're at Cedar Point enjoying some roller coasters and all the sights and sounds. It's lunch or maybe dinnertime! You're trying to find the best bang for your buck while still being happy with what you order. Walk no further. THIS is the place! There's something to satisfy everyone in your family. This place is buffet style. You get in line and they serve up what you choose from behind the glass. There were several protein options- they had steak (which was verrry tasty and cooked medium plus), chicken legs which were huge and full of flavor and linguica (a Portuguese sausage) that was awesome as well. There were these AMAZING potatoes- like well-seasoned, parboiled goodness, whole, with the skin on and buttery, crispy and creamy on the inside. YUM!!! And they dished out generous portions. They also had regular french fries or sweet potato fries and grilled corn on the cob. Salad and dessert was on the buffet too. Check out the menu because there's a lot more than what I listed. Steak not good,we felt sick after eating it. My husband and I had nausea, chills and diarrhea last night after eating here. We have season passes, All other restaurants in the park have been fine. The meat was cooked completely through, no red. Cut into squares not slices as in pictures. Highly seasoned, but dry, so I used the steak sauce provided by the cook.
