Great food, but regrettable service and ambiance. We've been here about a dozen times over the past 6-8 months and the order has been wrong nearly 100% of the time. My friend can't eat onions and no matter how carefully we specify NO ONION in English AND Spanish it's completely 50/50 whether it arrives with onion matter what dish we order and there's usually at least one other thing wrong too. You order what you want, then they serve you what they feel like. I might even understand if the waitstaff at a Mexican restaurant couldn't understand English well, but it's especially frustrating that they can't follow through on Spanish instructions EITHER.

If they offer to seat you on the "patio" be sure to refuse, it's essentially the outdoor utility closet with a few tables crammed in; you will regret sitting out there especially when your server forgets about you. The rest of the ambiance is pretty dive-bar taqueria, so don't go unless that's what you're ready for. Don't bring kids.

But on the odd occasion they get it right the food is actually pretty damned amazing, which is the only thing keeping me from giving a one star rating. Really, the food is actually extremely decent... when it's right. It's what kept us trying this long, but turned out to not be worth it.

In our experience this place is probably best enjoyed through Uber eats, it's their sole online ordering option that allows you to be specific without having to deal with chronically incompetent waitstaff. If they could get a handle on the service staff or even provide an online ordering function for takeout this place might actually be amazing, but for now it's off the list of places we're going to consider when eating out. I live in the area and stopped here because of its 4.3 rating. But I failed to read the reviews. If I had done so, I would have realized that the high ratings were from 6 years ago.

Although this review is new, I actually went there last year. The first thing that I noticed was that the inside was dirty and ran down. However, I also know that you can get some amazing food from places like that. The second thing that I noticed was a young black girl taking the order and cooking the food. I am black myself and questioned if she had the knowledge, skill, heritage, background or something to be cooking mexican food. Whelp, those concerns were answered once I arrived home. By far this was the worst mexican food I have ever had. The steak tacos were very fatty, she didn't bother to trim the fat off. With so much fat, the tacos were unpleasant and greasy. Then the tortilla was discolored because apparently they don't clean the grill. Lastly, it was tasteless. I am leaving this review now because I am in the mood for Mexian and Googled mexican near me. To my surprise they are still highly rated but the thought of eating here literally makes me gag. Remodel, restaff, change management, get qualified help, and maybe you could get back to your glory days. Until then, I cannot waste my time or money eating here.

UPDATE : When I left the prior review below Wednesday, immediately I was contacted by The manager. They really cannot refund money from Uber-eats he texted me a picture of where he tried. Instead they gave me a gift card to Amazon. So even though there was an issue it has now been resolved. I have never witnessed a restaurant that cared so much about customer satisfaction! I ordered 3 tacos, cheese dip and a sprite through Uber-eats for $23 and only received cheese dip. I called the restaurant and they were closed, of course their voice mail is full too. I want my money back for the tacos! I will be calling tomorrow.

I also read about another customer having this problem and you blamed the Uber driver. The Uber driver doesn't pack the freaking food in the bags! Your staff does! I'm sure we can resolve this because ultimately you were enriched by my loss in...
