I ordered food on my home from work and luckily stopped by Publix next door to pick up a couple things before I picked up my food from Lotus. I walked into Publix and saw that their power was out and later learned that the power has been out on the Block all day. âPublix had tape over anything that was frozen or needed to be kept at a certain temperature blocking the customers from buying itâ I walked over and asked the Lotus Restaurant if their power was out as well and they told me yes. I didnât pick up my food, I just said okay and walked out. To be opened as a Restaurant you must have Power. Power going out for a couple of minutes or a hour is okay because the Refrigerators and coolers should be able to hold the temperature. But I knew the power has been out for some time. I have 8 years of restaurant experience and I knew that they were break many different health code violations. I later got a call from them telling me my food was ready and I told them about me walking in and how I didnât feel comfortable eating there because of the power issue. The lady then called me a Bad Customer and that I shouldnât come bad. They said that they have gas and thatâs all you need. But Dish washers that use certain government regulated chemicals arenât being used with no power. Refrigerators and coolers arenât working and if they are open, they are probably opening them up often to get food out which is causing them to lose that cold air at a faster pace.    Read moreThis has been one of my favorite spots since I moved to the Atlanta area in 2015 and today I decided to visit for the first time in years.
Upon arrival, I and the woman in front of me had to wait for someone to come to the register. OK, cool, no problem! The lady took our orders and she acted like she didnât really want to be bothered with me.
Which is fine, because some people arenât as âfriendlyâ as I am. However, when an Asian guy came in to pick up his order, she was very nice and even added a sprinkle of happiness to her voice.
Once my order was ready, I came to the counter and politely said, âThank you, have a great day!â And her response was literally âOkay, GOODBYE!â in a very annoyed tone. I have not done anything to this woman, nor did I deserve to be spoken to in such a rude manner. Especially when I just spent, a decent amount of money at this establishment.

By the way, the Crab Rangoon (called Crab Angles) tastes absolutely nasty! Hands down worst I've ever had. The oil tastes extremely old, too. In fact, that's all I can taste. Old Grease.
I walked in, ordered, and walked out to sit in my car. I hung out in the car for a few moments and walked back in to find the very same person I had paid 10 minutes prior had no recollection of my face whatsoever. They had also given my food away to someone else. So, I had to wait another 10 minutes on the replacement food, which was hurriedly prepared and did not include any extras to account for my troubles. In addition, I tried to discuss all this with them and they didn't seem to care about understanding the English emanating from my mouth. I wonder if they follow codes if they do not...
