PITA Mediterranean Street Food - Dunwoody — Restaurant in Sandy Springs

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the flavors and menu options are solid. However, my experience fell short due to poor service and miscommunication.

I ordered a seafood pita with Greek fries and was asked if I wanted lettuce, onions, and tomatoes — to which I said yes. But when I received my order, it was a salmon pita, not the shrimp pita I intended to get. I was never asked to choose between shrimp or salmon, and when I brought it up, I was told I “asked for salmon” — which was absolutely not the case.

What disappointed me most was the lack of effort to make it right. No offer to remake the pita, no apology, no sense of urgency. I had to ask if I could at least have some shrimp so I could fix it myself. I was handed a bowl with three shrimp — three — as if that was a fair compromise.

Great food doesn’t make up for poor service. Hopefully next time, the team will take a little more care with orders and customer...

ADDING UPDATE: I ordered from here for the second time on Friday evening and it wasn't good at all. Too much sauce on everything. Seasonings were a bit off. Just not good anymore. I won't be back. Prevoously: I live right around the corner from the Orchard Park shopping center, but I have been avoiding this place ever since it opened a few months ago because I had ordered from the Pita in Norcross a couple of years ago and it was absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe that this place is even the same franchise concept as the Norcross one. The food tastes and looks entirely different. Everyone is friendly and efficient. Pita Mediterranean Street Food is a fantastic new fast-casual restaurant in our neighborhood. My 13-year-old son and I recently tried the gyro plates, and they were delicious! The food was prepared quickly, which is perfect for busy families. The restaurant's casual atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great spot for a quick and tasty meal.
