Waffle House — Restaurant in Sandy Springs

Filthy , Disgusting, terrible food and service. As soon as we entered we noticed that none of the tables had been cleared or cleaned even though the place was empty, found a semi clean table and noticed that the floor was absolutely filthy with food scraps , used napkins and gunk. There was one waiter and one waitress hanging around and I suggested that they clean up a little, they just looked at me as if I was crazy. The young lady then brought us one menu (for the two of us) We ordered coffee and my wife also asked for water. I got my coffee, my wife had to wait because they were making a fresh pot. When she got hers she had to ask for sweetener and then we realized we had not been given teaspoons so we used our knives to stir the coffee. My waffle came and I was shocked. For a place called Waffle House what I was served bore no relationship to anything like a waffle. Burnt brown , hard , totally inedible. I managed to eat less than half before giving up in disgust. In the meantime my wife had not got her water and I has finished my coffee but nobody bothered to offer a refill. My wife’s omelette arrived and it was lukewarm and the hash browns were burnt. In the interim another group of people arrived and changed tables three times because they still had not been cleaned. Eventually they found one which had been cleared and not cleaned and one of their party asked the waitress for a wet cloth and cleaned the table himself. At no time did either the waiter or waitress attempt to do any cleaning whatsoever. They just walked through the dirt on the floor and left all the tables uncleared and not wiped down. We had had enough. Both my wife and I gave up trying to eat the sludge put in front of us. I picked up my waffle and put it on the counter in front of the waitress and just said “ This waffle is totally inedible and the place is just filthy. “ I might of have been taking a foreign language. Nobody apologized, or even seem to care. I showed it to the young grill man who just shrugged and walked away. Omg out of all the experience I’ve had being a Waffle House guest, this one had to have been the worst!! This lady was the most rude, disrespectful, Unrighteous person ever. My boyfriend and I was in the city for vacation and decided to stop by for food. Upon entering I could tell the vibe with the waitress was off because she didn’t respond back once we greeted her. We were tying to place a To-go order and for whatever reason she was disturbed by our request. She started to roll her eyes, yell etc the energy that was given to us was like she didn’t want to deal with us AT ALL! And it showed in her tone & body language. She explained how everybody know that she’s always “mean” and that we should hurry up and order so we could leave. At that point we didn’t want anything, we didn’t feel comfortable enough to let someone like that have control over our food. There were more people inside that was familiar with her attitude (a guest dining in, an African American employee, and another African American guest) I was told that her name was “Patricia” this company does not deserve someone like this working for them! I was very uncomfortable and never expected anything like this before, EVER. My boyfriend and I definitely experienced racial discrimination with this person and didn’t feel welcomed inside the business. I've updated my review to one star based on my recent experience on October 5 at 9:35 PM.

I was disappointed with the service provided by the only server (female) who lacked hospitality and professionalism. Upon entering, we weren't welcomed and felt a negative attitude when asked for a particular table & we inquired about the menu. Due to the uncomfortable atmosphere, we decided to leave. This used to be our preferred Waffle House, but we won't be returning. You've lost a potential $60 sale tonight. I suggest addressing the ignorant staff member who wasn't wearing a name tag and the cook who seemed dismissive and unhelpful.

Date of experience: 3/23/23 at around 9:50pm…This is (literally) the cleanest Waffle House that i have ever walked into. Mike, the chef cooked with his heart-in-it. He even brought out the food to us — i had to think for a second & was like, “am I in the right place?” — the service provided by Mike, and the very nice server was truly amazing. Thank you for providing high quality, delicious food and excellent service. My hopes is that they both get internally recognized for being the best at what they do! I just moved to the neighborhood and glad that this is my local Waffle House —...
