I went out of my way tonight to Doordash for families on Christmas because I had a little extra time in my schedule before my own Christmas, or so I thought. Food was ordered at 5:30 p.m. I arrived shortly after at the restaurant just to be ignored multiple times. I understand being busy on this day, I truly do. But when staff flat out would not give eye contact and lied to my face after HOURS OF WAITING?! I'm sorry shame on you! I even hand wrote my order to try to ease their anxiety as they seemed completely disorganized and could not keep it together. Every patron in that restaurant rallied together to try and help call out orders and commiserate with one another while waiting and reassuring each other their orders would come. At some point, many begged them to stop accepting orders and get out the orders they currently have waiting. I waited OVER THREE HOURS. After watching an order get picked up ONE AND A HALF HOURS EARLIER THAN MINE, that was scheduled an hour after mine, I lost it. I told them this was unacceptable. They lied to me and told me my order was being made as we spoke. Ten minutes later they told me no, my order was lost and they were not making it and to CANCEL MY ORDER BECAUSE they would not make it. I have lost a lot of respect for this restaurant. They wasted my time, they wasted the clients time and they disregarded every Doordash and Grubhub order and gave no reason for ignoring us. They had no organizational system and we all tried to help but they dismissed any suggestions. They had cancelled orders everywhere and would not put any Doordash or GrubHub orders aside on a table to make pick ups easier. I am truly so disappointed in the lack of effort put in. I want an apology and I want an apology for the hours wasted and for families waiting for their Christmas dinner that never arrived because they refused to make it and refused to make the...

My daughter loves their fried rice so we often order it for her to go. It is good, but very oily for my taste. They will make it with less oil when I ask. I decided to try their Massaman curry today. They are not a Thai restaurant but have several Thai dishes on their menu. Massaman curry is pretty simple, meat, potatoes, and typically onions, maybe carrots and cashews. The cashews may just be something most restaurants around me do since I have seen peanuts as well. There aren’t any descriptions on their menu so I thought that it would be prepared like other Thai restaurants prepare it. It was not. First the sauce was thin and oily. I’m not sure if it had any coconut milk in it or not. There were no potatoes or cashews but loads of green beans, broccoli, green peppers (which I do not like and would have excluded) red peppers, BASIL and some onions. Pretty much everything I like about Massaman curry as a dish was absent. (I like the potatoes, the thick coconut creaminess of the curry sauce and the crunchy nuts). The flavor was pretty good, but I couldn’t really taste the Massaman. The basil won out. If you like the curry Massaman, but don’t like the way it is typically served then you would probably like this. The chicken was good as were the veggies, it just wasn’t what I wanted at all, and would have chosen something else if a description had been listed. I just wanted to give others a heads up if they were thinking about...
Read moreI have eaten here a bunch, more than 20 times. It's right next to my house. Their food tastes good, no doubt. When it's warm. And just served. If you take it home, and refrigerate it, it is no bueno. The sauces all separate, and it just does not taste good. Which makes me kind of suspect of the quality of ingredients they use. I suspect there is a lot of MSG happening here.
Also, if you want to confuse them, order some of their currys. I order their curry frequently and it's never the same thing twice. The sauces are always different, and you can't tell if you got a red curry, or massaman.
If you dine it, their wait staff is a little odd. They will refill your drink after a single sip. Which, ok, thanks for being attentive, but maybe back off just a bit.
Finally, this place is pricey for what it is. Two people, tip and all, 25 bucks is reasonable. But you can get two entrees and tip and it's 35 bucks. Too much in my opinion.
If you want great Asian, for a reasonable price and they deliver in the same areas, lookup Red Elephant Thai. It's not Chinese, but it's delicious, and for 22 bucks you can get high quality food delivered to your door for you and another. Hong Kong Star is just...
