Ryan's Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Sandy

I honestly cannot believe how disappointed I am with my experience here.

I asked for toasted bagels that were still white when they came out of the toaster. Asked for butter but there was so little its still dry. Asked for jelly, got Strawberry. No one asked if I wanted strawberry, I get that grape may not be the default but strawberry is a not uncommon allergen.

Ordered a side of bacon and got a sauce to go cup with 2 pieces for what I imagine had to cost at least $4 based on the final price.

Went here because we're from out of town and this was the most highly rated place in the area. If that's the case I feel bad for the residents of Sandy and SLC.

Edit: Forgot to mention, everything is cooked in microwaves! All the egg sandwiches are made in Tupperware filled with scrambled eggs that are microwaved to order.

Kept hearing great things about Ryan's, but our experience made us never want to enter here again. There was no one else in the store, yet the lady at the counter was rushing us and acting annoyed that we were asking what cream cheese options there were. She refused to turn around and tell us, just rattling off the options towards the wall so there was no way to understand her. I told her we couldn't hear her, and she still would not turn to talk to us, we finally just said plain for the first one and she mumbled something, then just put plain on all of them before we could say a thing. Really just seemed rude towards us. Also the bagel was just ok, and the plain cream cheese was awful, ended up throwing away most of what we purchased, just a complete waste of...

Posted! Used to be a good place but something changed drastically. I got food poisoning which I felt 5 minutes after I finished eating. After talking to some friends apparently it's known and they all know someone who felt very bad after eating there or they've gone through it. The 2 ladies that work there seemed like they hate their job. After I told her I'm not feeling well the lady said, "Thanks for letting us know" and went on her phone dismissively. And the eggs are not real eggs, they are artificial substitute. Good luck. +Reply to business reply: I was in the restrooms for 4 minutes. Is that a crime??
