I go to McDonald's frequently because I like it. This time however again too much is going downhill.
Once again they are getting skimpy with the fries. I ordered a medium and I got maybe 1/2 the container full. I added the picture, and no, they did not fall into the bag. Too many times McDonald's is not filling the fries and for the prices they want for them now it should be overflowing. Either that or they need to retake all of their pictures of French fries to show they don't fill the container anymore. On a positive note, they were cooked correctly and had a perfect amount of salt.
The double cheeseburger was burnt and over cooked, very dry. Cheese was somewhat melted.
Because they only had a drive thru open, it was too hard to go back and complain or get it redone. Obviously no one is doing quality checks here. And with only a drive thru open, it's even more important to get the order correct. Who wants to drive down the road and then drive back to complain.
I will add that corporate doesn't care either. I have brought up the fry issue and their customer service can't understand basic descriptions of what is going on or they just don't care.
UPDATE May the 4th B with U 2024: Sheriff Dave from the Fry Police with another visit. Medium Fry was filled much better this time. Almost to the top like the picture so good going, will add back a star. Why only one star you ask? Well the fries were full but not cooked all the way through. It was close but betting the fries were taken out just a bit too early. They were hot just not cooked all the way through.
The double cheeseburger was cooked correctly but I think someone was in a rush putting it together. A little sideways but still tasted good!
Again this location is drive thru only but they had a very nice guy outside the window helping out and was very polite, added one more star for service.

They now have the inside open. They converted it to a mainly kiosk and pickup only. There are a few seats and tables but they have removed the drink station and made the open area smaller (probably bigger kitchen now).
Service was quick, from the time I hit the button in the app to pay for the order (I was in the parking lot) to getting my order was 3 min and 1 sec. I think that is pretty fair.
No more self serve drink refills. That station was always a mess anyway. Hopefully if you eat there you can get a refill for free if you ask just like Wendy's or Chick Fil A. Regardless it looks like they dropped their price for sodas to reflect just one serving.
My double cheeseburger was put together much better than the last McDonald's I visited and the fries are much fuller now (though still not like their picture). I will add a star for the improvements.

Also, the self serve drink station may be gone but you can still get refills. Just ask at the counter and they are happy to give you a refill.
UPDATE AUG 17, 2024 Unfortunately I have to take a food star off on this visit. The double cheeseburger was a mess. You could tell they just slapped it together and it wasn't even busy at this particular time. The burger was Luke warm at best and the cheese cold as if it just came out of the fridge. Picture added.
UPDATE NOV 2, 2024 And another star comes off. Sheriff Dave is issuing a ticket once again. The restaurant should be embarrassed to give out a large fry like this one. If I hadn't been in the drive thru and on my way I would have gone back. However you shouldn't have to return to get it right. Again the owners are skimping on quantity. See picture.

They are losing stars once again. There should be an arrest for repeated offenders. Sheriff Dave is getting the handcuffs out this time. The management and/or owners must just not care.    Read moreAfter several orders fulfilled incorrectly, I reached out and was offered 3 free meal vouchers and 4 dessert vouchers by Robby, the guest service manager from this location, awesome, thanks. So, today I went down there to redeem my vouchers. The first shift lead I spoke to, Edwin, could not comprehend what I was saying as he wasn't paying attention and would not slow down long enough to read the email stating I was entitled to the vouchers. He asked me several times, "so what do you want ?" The vouchers dude, I want the vouchers! In the middle of trying to help me, an employee walked up and they started having a conversation about her food order, rude but okay....he then walks off after telling me he needs to see where the vouchers are. Since she wouldn't provide her name when prompted several times, the short, 50 something year old, heavy set, islander woman with poorly bleached dreads came to the counter. I tried to explain to her the situation and show her the email but she repeatedly cut me off and was not interested in actually looking at the email. She kept questioning if it was this location to which I told her if she would please read my email I received she would see it in fact was along with the other pertinent details. She then tells me this store doesn't have those vouchers or offer them and I would need to come in the morning when the GM is there. I explained I work regular hours and that was not feasible she said then I should call and then the GM and I may meet somewhere after work. Uhh what? She then calls the GM on speaker phone who also says they don't have those vouchers. When I asked to speak to the GM that was on the phone, the insufferable shift lead took her off speaker and walked away. She then returned with a name and phone number scribbled on a napkin and tossed it at me telling me to call them. That's when I asked for her name and she said I don't need it, it's none of my business. I asked for it again telling her I wanted to make sure she would be recognized for her "outstanding" customer service but again she declined and told me to "be blessed" as she decided the conversation was over and walked away.
Went down there thinking this would be an easy in and out and resolution to prior bad experiences only to have another terrible experience. This is not the first time I've dealt with that old, nasty, sorry excuse for a shift lead. If that troll is what other employees have to look up to and are supposed to emulate, that store is in big trouble.

Iâve moved around a lot growing up so iâve always been to different mcdonaldsâ i donât even live by this one, this one is a solid 10 minutes away from me, but every experience i have ever had here whether itâs in store, curbside, or drive thru, it is always so amazing. i frequently go to the hickman and lake mary blvd locations because my job and my house are closer to both, and almost every single time i go to those other locations something gets messed up, the food is cold, too much ice in my drink even after asking for light ice.. At international i have always been treated with the upmost respect, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious, the fries are always salted to perfection here, if youâre ever looking for good fries from mcdonaldâs, this is the one to go to!! every time i ask them for light ice, they all communicate with each other about it and i always get what i asked for, with a smile too.. I just went to this location today and the lady in the drive thru second window around 1:20 pm - 1:30 pm was so amazing, she kindly greeted me and asked me how my day is and everything, never have i received that treatment from the other 2 mcdonaldâs in the area. Im not sure how much more i can express that this mcdonaldâs knows exactly what theyâre doing and they have amazing management. during the collectors cup thing that mcdonaldâs was doing, i was on a mission to collect all 6, i had already collected a few and was looking for specific ones (as im sure everyone else did too) and i called the international location to ask what cups they have available and the man over the phone was very polite, told me exactly what cups they have open right now and i headed there.. when i tried calling any other location they all gave me some stupid answer like âoh we canât see whatâs in the bagâ or âitâs a surpriseâ.. so of course upon getting there i received my cup and was waiting for my food, i looked at the code at the bottom of the cup and asked the guy if there was anyyyy way he could give me the other cup they have open right now (i knew because i had called before coming and i only asked for the other one because i had the one they gave me already) and he was SOOOO nice enough to do that for me him and his co worker went back and searched for the other cup to give to me.. i have never received such amazing customer service from any other fast food restaurant, international mcdonaldâs is top tier, the best mcdonaldâs in the area, to everyone working at this location and the management, youâre...
