An actual review from someone who dined there, not one of the fake reviews below.
Went on opening night. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and a nice setup, but there were definitely some opening-night growing pains.
We ordered the General Tso’s Chicken and the Paneer Tikka. When the food came out, the General Tso’s didn’t include any rice, and the “paneer” dish turned out to be chicken. The staff was polite and fixed the issue quickly, but communication between the front and back of house clearly needs improvement.
During dinner, we kept hearing a bug zapper going off toward the back of the restaurant, which wasn’t exactly pleasant while eating. A fly was also hovering near our table. Given that several restaurants in Lake Mary have recently had to temporarily close due to bug issues, this is something that should be addressed before it turns into a bigger problem.
A quick word of caution about the early reviews: many of them appear to be fake. Some reviews posted are from staff members posing as customers. How do I know this? I’m actually in the background of one of those pictures as we watched the staff member take them (see attached, same photo from a staff member posing as a customer) . Also, by observation I had noticed by the afternoon, the restaurant already had around twenty glowing five-star reviews, yet the dining room was nearly empty when we arrived for dinner (makes no sense).
Overall, the staff was friendly and the space has potential, but the food quality, service coordination, and authenticity of the reviews don’t match the five-star image being presented online. I don’t get the need to try and deceive customers with fake reviews, especially during your opening week. If the restaurant is good, it will get good reviews. And finally, consider updating the exterior sign, which still shows the name of the previous restaurant “The Nine Heathrow Thai Grill & Kitchen”.
Will we try it again? Who knows, but our first time was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tamara, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for something special. The warm, inviting atmosphere, elegant decor, and soft background music created the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. The service was exceptional—every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive without ever being intrusive. They took the time to explain the menu, make recommendations, and ensure that every detail was perfect. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with authentic Indian flavors, clearly prepared with care and passion. The spices were perfectly balanced, allowing the natural taste of the ingredients to shine through. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water! I started with some appetizers that were crisp, fresh, and beautifully presented. The main courses were rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—each bite felt like a celebration of India’s incredible culinary traditions. The sauces were creamy and fragrant, the meats were tender, and the vegetarian options were just as satisfying. You could really taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The naan bread was soft and buttery, perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce, and the desserts were a delightful way to end the meal—sweet, aromatic, and perfectly portioned. Tamara truly stands out among Indian restaurants. It’s rare to find a place where every element—food, service, and atmosphere—comes together so perfectly. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or just curious to try something new, Tamara is an experience you won’t want to miss. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’ll be bringing friends and family along so they can experience how wonderful this place is. Tamara has set a new standard for Indian...
