Pelican's SnoBalls of Sanford — Restaurant in Sanford

The reason for the stars on food and service is because I received neither one. I was here on Friday 5/24/24 at approximately 3:30 pm. I pulled in to see about 8 people in line (I should have left then)but I got in line which needless to say was moving extremely slow. Finally the 2 people in front of me placed their order and I was filled with excitement knowing that I was next and after finally deciding what refreshing flavor that I wanted to try. Suddenly the window slides open and I see the attendant returning money to the customer in front of me. She then turns to me and says the ice machine is down and not working. Oh what a punch in the gut that was for me. It's hard for me to imagine that the attendant had just discovered this and more so because that is the main staple that she needs in which to operate at all. You see this was my first visit to a Pelicans Snowballs and I was beyond disappointed.

Don't know if I will try again but I can assure you it will not be at this location. I had better things to do than wait 30 minutes for such a let down that could have been avoided.

I was in the Food Industry for 40 years and I guess this is one of those things that was brought on by the pandemic LOL. I am so glad that I am not a part of that industry any longer. Customer Service is basically non existent these days especially when you wait 30 minutes and you cannot even get something as basic as a snow cone,...

I absolutely enjoy Pelicans, however today my overall experience was different. I ordered one avalanche strawberry shortcake and one regular strawberry daiquiri. The server mixed the flavors in the wrong cup, not only that for the regular I was given a kiddie cup. Which is okay mistakes happen all the time, no big deal. I visit Pelicans often enough to know the difference in the cup sizes, and with anywhere you go to always have your order clear and ready before you place it. I walked back up with my receipt in hand for proof of purchase that I paid for and order a regular and also that my order was incorrect. One again really no big deal. Not only wasn’t my order corrected , the server told me that the size of the cup differs based on whether or you dine in or take to go! I have never been told that or never knew that you could dine in. I’m extremely confused my understanding has always been that you can peacefully gather around or sit at the provide picnic tables. To say the least I can’t wrap my mind around on if I purchase something and tipped, why I wouldn’t receive the item my money paid for....I must say I’m extremely confused and...

Stopped here for the first time with my kids . the prices are fair and I love that they have stuff to do outside , I was just a little scared with the activities being right next to the road . My kids know better not to run to the road but you never know lol .
