This store tried to overcharge me. I went in to get my diamond necklace picture pendant repaired but just the glass. I purchased the necklace back in in my hometown (Detroit) and when I had my necklace shipped to me here in NC the glass was cracked. I didn't want to ship it back to Detroit because I just wanted it in a location where I could just pick it up without the hassle of the shipping process. When I asked how much would it be to get the glass repaired she quoted me $250. I asked her why so much if I was only getting the glass repaired and she couldn't give me a definite answer. Then she told me that the manufacturer who was going to repair it said he had to replace the picture as well. I asked her why would he have to do all of that if the only problem was the glass being damaged and nothing was wrong with the picture. She then exclaimed in her words, "Maybe because of the labor". I told her they were overcharging and that did not sound right. Therefore, I took my necklace elsewhere to get a quote. Two other jewelry stores told me that it would only cost $40-$60. I went to two different stores just be sure that the price I was being told was accurate. If you are spending money here 9 times out of 10 you are spending way more...

What an amazing place1 I only needed a ring resized and wanted someone who did their own work. After speaking to Crystal in the morning I went in, described what I needed and they took it from there. Very pleasant people to talk to and very customer oriented. I didn't mention this to them but I really wanted my ring done asap. Crystal called around 3 PM to tell me my piece was ready! Once there I explained my whole situation, which they were unaware of and how grateful I was I could wear my ring. I'm not the biggest jewelry customer in the world, but I will be faithfully theirs for good. Thank you again Jeff and Crystal you can't even tell the ring was worked on!...

I have been going to Lucas since I was 15....Buying jewelry for girl friends in my past, my family and myself....From ear rings, charms, necklaces and rings. I'm now 23 and the reason why I have not bought from anywhere else is because when I was 15 I was treated like a person by everyone there. Every other place I went at that age ignored me and saw me as a window shopper, getting little attention.....ANY WAYS I bought wedding banners for me and my wife and plan on buying Christmas gifts for her there as well. I can go on about Lucas Jewelry when someone ask a good place to go. I just feel a bit guilty I'm just now...
