Rhonda's--A Neighborhood Bar — Restaurant in Sanford

I don't know who that guy is that wrote such an incorrect post but he is totally wrong!!!! It's a great bar. When I first went into Rhonda's and met her she was very friendly and welcoming. Rhonda puts her heart into her bar and her guests. Throughout the night she walks around greeting everyone and making sure to have a conversation with them. It was a long while before I went back and she still remembered me and my name. She remembers all her guests. She does charity events. She holds bbq's for her guests. The outside bands are awesome to listen to. The staff and other guests and pretty damned friendly, and yes, that includes Scott and Tina, whom I think the world of.. If someone has an issue Rhonda takes care of it so that her guests are satisfied. I have seen all of this many times at her place. Her bar is clean. The karaoke is a lot of fun. And as far as not allowing blacks or gays....are you sure you went to the same bar?????? Most nights I have been there the clientelle has included anyone and everyone from all walks of life, so please, back it up dude. OH, and they are even allowed to go up on stage to sing too...imagine that. Everyone has always been welome at Rockin' Rhonda's. Don't get me wrong, Rhonda is a great person but you get out of hand in her bar and you are out because she has to protect her clientelle from those causing harm or trouble. So, maybe it's not that she doesn't allow blacks or gays(though she does all day and night long) but rather that it was you and your actions that caused the problem. I recommend Rhonda's whenever you want a fun place to sit down and enjoy a few drinks in a place where you can feel welcomed and feel...

Rockin' Rhonda'a is a great place to have a good time. Rhonda is vibrant & full of energy. She makes the show so much fun. The drink prices are pretty even with other bars around Sanford. When Rhonda first starting doing her show there before purchasing the bar, we went to support her but after being there just a few minutes we realized it had not changed and promptly told her goodbye and left. I came home and sent her a message as to why we left....We would not and did not frequent this bar before Rhonda took over because it was dark inside and the clientele was less than desirable. With that being said, I am not referring to ethnicity, sexual partner preference or anything other than those that chose to not abide by the laws. Just about any given night of the week we drove by, the cops were there for whatever the reason. Rhonda has made quite a few positive changes to the inside and striving to make more as she can. She has also brought in a customer base that is there to have fun and are not there to cause trouble for others. This is the type of place where everyone has a great time whether you sing or not. The first visit you may not know anyone, but before you leave you will have a made some friends for sure. The bartenders are very friendly and always making sure you are taken care of. There are most generally drink specials each night of the week too. If you are looking for a good place to go to have a great time, ROCKIN' RHONDA'S is that place! This is such a great little dive bar and I love a good dive. So this is a karaoke bar ( I was informed last night that they will start doing themed nights soon so it won't be karaoke all the time anymore ) I would definitely call ahead and ask what is planned for the night before going for karaoke just to be sure. The drinks were definitely good here, full liquor bar. There is smoking allowed inside still which to me makes it that much more old school dive bar status. There are two pool tables. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the ladies bathroom it's a single person bathroom ( I never had to wait to use it ) it was seriously hot though, no air at all also the toilet is right up against the wall so it was a little uncomfortable to sit on. The owner Rhonda is very nice and went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I were comfortable and I had an asthma attack the staff and customers were so fast to respond and get me my inhaler.
