TOUGH TO IMPRESS!! FIRST TIME EATING HERE!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
This place does not get enough praise and attention. The ambiance was low key, warm lighting, and comfortable. The lady who greeted and seated us was very professional and courteous. We were seated immediately. We were given time to look over the menu instead without interruption. When our waitress stopped by to greet us, she was extremely nice. This was a genuine "I love my job and love working here". She took our drink order, and allowed us to continue perusing the menu. She came back, took our appetizer order (Crab Dip). Then took the entree order (Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Marsala).
Now the meal. The crab dip was DELICIOUS. We could not stop eating it. The bread was cooked to perfection with a garlic, herb, and cheese topping. The crab dip was creamy, cheesy, and nice big chunks of real crab.
The house salad was crisp, fresh veggies not overly drenched in dressing
The Shrimp Scampi Linguini was generously bathed in a garlic sauce and the noodles were served in their own dish with a garlic, white wine, butter sauce. The shrimp were carefully cooked so that they were sweet and tender.
The Chicken Marsala was probably the best I've had in the area. The sauce was as close to authentic as can be. The mushrooms was a generous portion, and the chicken was tender and juicy.
To finish this amazing meal off, we had the Amaretto Cheesecake. OH MY!!! The cheesecake was creamy, the almond topping was crispy, and the amaretto sauce was divine! This was a superb topper to an already...
Read moreI went early today when they first opened not crowded took awhile for server to come over. Ask for drink orders stayed gone over 10 minutes to get our 5 drinks. Then he took our appetizer order said he would be back in a few minutes to take our food order was again along time before he came back placed our food order. Then they seated a table behind us different waitresses. She was on top of them got there drinks quickly even there salads. Then Our food came out still no salad? No bread? That was to go with my meal? Also weird was everyone’s plates came out at a different time not all together. Table behind us got all there food together. My son in law ask waiter were my salad was he said he would go get it by this time I am almost completely finished my plate. I did ask for my bread that he seemed to have forgot about. Then my husband plate arrived as we waited on him to eat. Another table had arrived and they also had there food and was asking were there bread and salads were? And do you taste the tea before you serve it or the lemonade? Both were horrible lemonade was to stong and the tea tasted sour like it was old. This is something easily fixed by tasting before you serve. Ranch dressing taste like hidden valley straight out of the bottle I thought it would of been homemade because that is cheaper and easy to make. I was very disappointed in service and food! And would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The Vass restaurant has its act together maybe y’all need more training in Sanford. It was my 25th wedding anniversary lunch was expecting great...
Read moreIf you're looking for an incredible Italian dining experience, Valenti's in Sanford, NC is an absolute must-visit. My wife, Lisa, our friend Angie, and I had the pleasure of dining there recently, and it was nothing short of perfection.
From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the warm, inviting atmosphere that effortlessly balanced elegance and comfort. The service was impeccable, and our server, Emma, was delightful. Her sweet southern accent and genuine warmth added a personal touch to the evening that made us feel right at home.
As for the food—wow. Every dish was a masterpiece. I started with the meatball appetizers, which were seasoned to perfection and melted in my mouth. Lisa opted for the shrimp Alfredo, and the creamy, flavorful sauce paired beautifully with the perfectly cooked shrimp. Angie enjoyed the spaghetti with mushrooms and meat sauce, a hearty and satisfying dish that she couldn't stop raving about.
Even the small details were exceptional. The handmade dinner rolls, shaped into garlic knots, were a treat all on their own. Soft, buttery, and infused with just the right amount of garlic—they set the tone for the rest of the meal.
Valenti’s has quickly become one of our favorite spots. The combination of outstanding food, impeccable service, and a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere is hard to beat. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended! Valenti's Italian Restaurant is a dining gem...
