fajitas -⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Probably some of the best I’ve had in really long time! Super tinder and juicy! Those fer sure get 5stars! Queso- ⭐️😬 no real flavor… which was a huge let down bc I got hella excited when I saw there was real cheese sprinkled on top…. Not to mention it took like 10min to get it…. And we didn’t even get chips and salsa till a good 5 min after we ordered our food… I mean not trying to be THAT B!+<# but that’s what makes mexican restaurants better than others! The chips and salsa BEFORE you order to take the edge off being Hangry… and I was EXTREMELY HANGRY! Lol Strawberry daiquiri ⭐️- tasted more like a smoothie…. No alcohol. And I haven’t drank I’m 6mnths soOo I should’ve felt a little warm fuzzies in my tummiez but nothing… Customer service—- 🤦‍♀️ absolute garbage. I was there on my one year anniversary and I really regretted choosing to spend $51 and my only bi-weekly date night here… I mean I’ll cut em some slack… we did show up at 8:45 and they close at 10… but still the chick couldn’t even tell me any drink specials… and a lady from another table gave us a drink menu before she did Side note: it does have a more classy vibe than your typical Mexican restaurant and outside had some cute spots for pics…. If it’s not like 30degrees outside …

I'm going to start by saying that this review would have gotten 3 stars but our waitress Michelle was amazing so it bumped it up a star. Pros: -The service was amazing (Michelle), food came out quick, and we always had chips, salsa, and water. - good atmosphere - large variety on the menu -affordable -the food was mostly very good. I loved their chips and salsa -again, the service was awesome so I need to mention that again. Cons: -we ordered two steak a La Mexicana meals and for some reason one was cooked different than the other. Mine was more "boiled" texture and the other was more charred (grilled) flavor. The inconsistency was weird there. -Shrimp quesadilla had a lot of cheese. Even for someone who likes cheese there was a lot of cheese. -Flautas were really really burnt on the ends but the inside was delicious. -Verde sauce tasted too earthy for me. Overall, I would come here again but saying it's the best Mexican food I've ever had would be a stretch. But I loved the atmosphere, service, and the food was pretty good.

My wife and I were one of the original customers here in the mid 80s. It was good then but even better now . At 3:30 in the afternoon we were greeted as we entered and were promptly sedated . Ordered margaritas that were excellent. Aldo was our server. He was helpful in selecting meal. Did not rush us nor over attentive. Food was served promptly and was fresh and hot. A little pricey but the serving was huge. Brought a serving home. Definitely worth driving for it. Go hungry. Hope you have as good an experience as we did. UPDATE Enjoyed an excellent lunch along with the test of the emergency alert system on Wednesday. We were greeted as entered, seated immediately and served chips as we sat down. Angel was our server. Took our order for margaritas 🍹, they only have 1 size, large. Not only was it delicious, but priced for any budget. Ten lunch specials were priced at $8.99 and serving size was more like higher priced dinner plate. Everything was perfect. Best Tex-Mex in the metroplex.

The best chips and hot sauce in Fort Worth and reasonable prices on great meals. Superb customer service and the waiters and waitresses are constantly on top of things in bringing refills to whatever you may need. I believe it's the best Mexican restaurant in the Fort Worth area and it's much, much cheaper than some of the high-priced chains.

UPDATE: 2022-04-22 I went and ate lunch again at El Paseo today. As always, they were busy but we were seated almost immediately. The server was spectacular and had a great attitude. They brought our chips and hot sauce out was our drinks real fast. And it didn't take too long for the meal to be cooked and brought out to us. But for some reason, today just wasn't as good as it normally is. I love El Paseo's food and hot sauce and chips. It's the best Mexican restaurant around in the Fort Worth area, in more specifically, in the NW Tarrant County area. But today the flavor just wasn't has good. It didn't taste bad at all but it wasn't as good as normal. Wasn't my taste buds? I don't really know but that didn't enjoy it as much today. I don't have anything bad to say about the restaurant and I don't think they did anything different with the food. The service was great and everything was great just as normal. I tend to think that it was my taste buds or allergies or something like that that was the reason for today's disappointment in the meal. I will definitely be back again as soon as I can get up there when I'm confident that the next time will be perfect as it always is. I really like the service and the food at the restaurant and the margaritas are good as well!

2022-12-29 UPDATE: Still the best and still my favorite Mexican restaurant in the North Texas area! I went tonight and had a great meal for a reasonable price! It's always great food and great service at El Paseo.

UPDATE 5/30/2023: This restaurant only gets better. I tried the combination plate today and it was superb. 3 enchiladas and one beef taco is what I chose. That, along with the superb chips and hot sauce and a margarita made for a great meal. One of the best things at this restaurant is the service. Our waitress was very friendly, did things fast, and was spectacular in performing her duties as a waitress. Everything was top-notch and there's no restaurant in the area that has such good service and food in my opinion. I've been eating here for over 30 years and I've never been...

Usually an excellent place to eat with very gracious service.

Called up there around 3:30pm on Christmas Eve to ask what time they closed because I was thinking about placing a to-go order. They said 5pm, so I proceeded to ask if I could place a to-go order for chips, salsa and queso. Before I could even get my order out of my mouth, the man on the phone said "we aren't taking to-go orders right now." Confused as to whether he meant they just weren't taking them over the phone at the moment, I proceeded to try to ask whether I'd be able to place a to-go order if I came up to the restaurant, and I guess he only half heard what I was asking or in a hurry to get me off the phone, because he said "Yes, of course. If you're here by 5pm, we'll be happy to serve you here."

Getting the impression he meant serve me as in dining in, I clarified "So I can place a to-go order if I come in person?" to which he clarified "No, we're too busy."

There was a time when restaurants were begging is to frequent them during the pandemic, and here I am being dismissed because I want to pay them for food, but I don't want to tie up any of their waitstaff or tables. Me ordering to-go is no different than ordering dine-in, having my food served, and then asking for a to-go box. Except for the latter takes up way more of your resources.

Ultimately, they made a concession to let me order chips, salsa and queso. The whole time I was waiting for my order, people were coming up and picking up to-go orders from Doordash. So I guess they're okay with to-go orders as long as their through a platform that takes an abhorrent amount of the profits from them?

To be honest, I knew a third visit in one week was going to be a little indulgent. Just didn't realize I was going to be made to feel like an...

THEY DO NOT LIKE BLACKS AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!! I had a horrible experience with the waitstaff at this restaurant. I parked in the “to go” spot at this establishment. A young lady answered and took my order for a bag of tortilla chips. I explained to her that I had physical issues and wasn’t able to negotiate the ramp to go inside. She AGREED to bring my food outside. Simple right? I sat in this same spot, watching individuals go in and out for over 40 minutes. I finally called and asked what the issue was. I was then told by this same young lady, “I came out with the chips and I didn’t see your car. The “to go” parking spot is LITERALLY right in front of the door. THIS WAS A FLAT OUT LIE! I was quite disturbed, as I felt she was giving me a song and dance. The posted hours are until 9 pm. Our conversation was @8:45pm. She gave me another story and said, “Let me check with my manager”, placing me on hold once again. After a few minutes someone picked up the phone and hung it up. Once again, I called back. She then answered and said that it was “too late”, and that “We really don’t do that anyway”, mind you, after she AGREED t bring the food to my vehicle. This was a disgusting way to run off a customer. Word to the wise: As we know, it’s 2024, and Azle is still a VERY prejudiced area in Fort Worth, so IF YOU ARE BLACK OR HANDICAP, DO NOT EAT HERE! You will be treated like a second class citizen, trust me! I can’t imagine spending money at this “ ever. Good luck if...
