Arsenio's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Santa Ana

this place sucks I went here before and the experience wasn't that great but my neighbor said let's go give it another chance since it is down the st from us so we went I got the burrito de asada and he got a taco plate... I also got a jamaica (hibiscus) drink the drink was watered down.. it pretty much tasted like water color with sugar no hibiscus flavor I asked is this tea or agua fresca I asked for a different drink but the cashier said she would have to charge me for it I said just change it for a coke she was trying to make me pay for the coke separate I said hey it ain't my fault y'all didn't make the water right i said ok never mind I'll drink this crappy drink we drove up to the front and I told my neighbor wait let's check the food and what do you know the rice and beans were cold like if they been out all day or something there's no way it could of gotten cold in 5 min... my burrito was basicly beans hardly any meat I like Mexican food but never in my life will I go back to this nasty place again if they wanted to leave for the night they are better off just closing early instead of having the customers deal with...

I have been going to this restaurant for 20+ years And despite the economy I always had favorite menu items and stayed a loyal customer even after I moved to the other side of the city I still made the drive on the weekend for my favorite breakfast burrito ( ham eggs and cheese no potatoes with green salsa) even when the price of the burrito went from $2.99 to $9.49 ... I still continued to go despite the price.... and even up to 10 years ago customer service was great never a wrong order until the past few years something has changed service started getting bad... wrong orders ... staff stepping away from the counter.. and my order isn't complex it's a menu item and somehow they find ways to make my experience unsatisfying... maybe im nit picking but for the cost of gas / meal / and my loyalty I feel they could do better. I don't know if I will return for the price I could make 3 of the same...

Absolutely Disgusting – Avoid at All Costs

This establishment is beyond unacceptable. The conditions inside are unsanitary and downright alarming. I personally witnessed food being handled without gloves, and much of the staff appeared unkempt and unhygienic—hardly what you expect from a place serving food to the public.

Even more disturbing was the behavior of the on-site security guard. I saw him physically assault a woman with no apparent justification. It was horrifying and raises serious concerns about safety. If this happened once, who knows what else may have occurred behind closed doors?

The health department needs to investigate this place immediately. Dining here is not just unpleasant—it could be dangerous. Between the risk of foodborne illness and potential physical harm, it's simply not worth it....
