The only reason I went to Curacao was because I was purchasing a dryer for my parents. They already knew what dryer they wanted. They also decided to purchase the 3-year warranty. All we needed was someone to ring it up. After waiting over 40 mins, I decided to go to the cashier. I thought she would ring it up, but she decided to go with us to the appliances section. I used to be a front-end supervisor at a retail store and, right away, noticed she had left her light on and reminded her to turn it off so no one would walk up to an empty register. She was speed-walking ahead of us. I was with my mom behind her. My dad called my mom to let her know someone was finally helping him. I tried to let her know, but she kept on walking. I expressed to the appliance salesperson how long we were waiting. Instead of being apologetic, his response was "I have a lot of people to help(there was no one else waiting), if you don't want me to help you, you can go somewhere else" in a condescending voice. I told him not to speak to me that way. The cashier decided to jump in and say "His busy, his the only salesperson here, I can refuse service to anyone (while rolling her eyes), do you want me to refuse service to you? Because I can" in a rude tone of voice. I told her he doesn't have to talk to me that way or her. Her response was, "I'm talking to you way the same way you're talking to me." Which is not true. Their tone of voice was completely unacceptable for being at work. Like if they were the ones waiting for over 40 minutes for a 600+ purchase. I was the bigger person in the situation and told her I was done speaking to her. She decided to stay for the whole transaction instead of returning to her register. Why wasn't she back at the register? She was the only register open. How are customers supposed to check out when the only cashier is standing by watching the appliance salesperson ring out their purchase? What was the purpose of her standing there? After my transaction was done, she stayed with the appliance salesperson instead of returning to her register. Overall, my experience here was horrible. I was a front-end supervisor, so I know this could've been handled differently. I suggest...
Read moreI was there a few days back to buy a phone I found online. The phone was actually cheaper at Amazon but I still prefer to buy in a brick-and-mortar store as much as possible so I decided to check them out. It was my first time to get inside a Curacao store and it was better than I expected. The people were nice, someone approached me to offer assistance and told me to talk to the lady at the phone counter. I showed her the phone that was being sold unlocked in their website but to my disappointment, I was told that I can only buy it if I pay $40 for activation and I can't get it without signing up for a new phone service account. So I just left the counter and looked around the store. When I got home I went back to their website, chatted with a customer service rep, and confirmed that I can buy the phone from the website without having to sign up for a phone service so I just bought it online for store pickup. It may have been a mistake on the lady's part but it's really disappointing. I may come back in the future if I see some great deals but I'll take note if this same thing happens again.
When I was about to buy the phone, it said in the website that they had 30 pieces so I was expecting that my order would be ready real quick. Two days have passed and I haven't received any update on my purchased. I checked online and it says that they now have just 29 in their inventory so I'm assuming the 1 less is mine. I went back to the store to ask for an update. There seems to be some problem in their system as they were not able to find my purchase in the store record so they had to call their e-commerce department. The guys at the Will Call/Service area were helpful and they managed to get me the phone that day. My first Curacao visit could have been a smooth and pleasant experience and I wanted to like the store. I hope future visits...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE! Came to the store for a 5min purchase, I was in a hurry and I was trying to get an Apple Pencil so I went to the cellphone department to ask if they have any in stock, I talk to a man first and he told me they have two in stock but he was a little bit busy with a customer so he asked his coworker to help me out and she told me they didn’t have any in stock, The man told her he was sure they have two in stock so she went to check and she found out that they only had one left open box in stock so I took it, I paid for it at the counter with the lady and she gave me a receipt so I could go to the pick up section and claim for it. Went there and two customers were waiting on line but nobody was helping them, after waiting for about 20 minutes the lady who sold the Apple Pencil to me showed up and she was surprised that nobody had helped me already so she starts looking for some keys (I’m assuming those keys were the ones to open the cage where the Apple Pencil was) but she couldn’t found so she asked three different people from the warehouse department and they also didn’t know Anna disappointed they already had more than 10 people waiting on line. While she had someone looking for the keys she starts helping the customer in front of me and there was a big confusion too because he paid $100 for a table that supposedly would include chairs and chairs were not included. After about 45 minutes waiting they finally brought my Apple Pencil to me and I left the store. A 5min purchase took almost 45 min. Never doing business with Curacao in my life again. They’re not organized and management...
