My boyfriend and I were craving Mexican food and stumbled upon this spot. It did not disappoint. We loved it here! The service was fantastic and the food was even better. The owner is so sweet and every employee there is amazing!! We were served very quickly. It felt very cozy and welcoming here. We didn't know it was happy hour, but they have some amazing deals! Definitely will be coming back! There's plenty of street parking in the area. Food review: Complimentary chips and salsa were so good! The salsa was definitely spicy, but our wonderful waitress brought us some salsa verde and other options. Those chips were so damn good. Thin, crispy, warm, and salted to perfection! Margaritas: (5/5) These were delicious!! We ordered the house Margarita, strawberry, and watermelon. The perfect amount of sweet for me. My boyfriend LOVED the strawberry flavor. They tasted even better being only $6 on the happy hour menu! Taquitos: (5/5) These were bomb (also on happy hour). I've never had a potato taquitos until here and let me tell you, it was damn good. We got 2 chicken and 2 potato. Pork belly tacos: (5/5) So simple, yet so delicious. They were gone in like 5 minutes. Perfect bite sized tacos. Crispy chicken taco and shredded beef enchilada: (5/5) The flavors were delicious, the meats were juicy and tender. Pretty big portion and...
Read moreThe location is clean and modern, but unfortunately, the food tasted as though it was pre-packaged, frozen, and microwaved before being served.
The service was okay. Our waitress was very sweet, but she wasn’t particularly attentive. We waited over 15-20 minutes for her to return to our table, even though there was only one other family present, and they were finished eating and just chatting. By the time she returned, we were ready to order. We requested water for the table along with our food. After about 10 minutes, my husband decided to grab water bottles from the car. Another 5 minutes passed before she finally brought us the water.
I ordered the Enchiladas Emoladas, which were supposed to come with cheese and rajas inside, but they only contained chicken. The rice was hard and overly salty. When I brought this to the server’s attention, she was very understanding and offered to bring the rajas and cheese on a separate plate to mix in.

Read moreFirst time here, visiting OC on vacation and heard that I have to try the Mexican food in SoCal. I’m from Oklahoma, so I have had some good authentic Mexican food. Theirs was otherworldly. The waitress was SO sweet and was giggling and dancing to the music playing genuinely having a good time. It was such a fun atmosphere.
Tried the steak and shrimp. I have only had steaks this tender at some of the fine dining spots I’ve been to. So much flavor and so different from what I can get in Oklahoma.
If you are thinking about trying this place, PLEASE DO! It’s kind of hidden away but out of the few places I had Mexican food at on my visit, this one was by far the best.
It is in my cards down the road to be back in Santa Ana (what a lovely city) more permanently and when that time comes I will...
