Ordered a chocolate sprinkles donut for my daughter who is allergic to peanuts. We were driving away and she was eating the donut. A minute later she said "Daddy, I smell peanuts!" She said she thinks she ate one. I rushed her home to get her medicine. She said her tongue and lips were itchy. I saw one other peanut piece on the donut. I tasted it to confirm. I got her home and gave her medicine and monitored with the Epi pen ready. I was so scared. Fortunately, the meds did their job. If your kid has a peanut allergy, you know that it has to be taken very seriously.
I called the store and the gentleman kept saying "you didn't tell us your daughter had a peanut allergy." What? I told him that i just wanted them to be more careful about cross-contamination. I even recommended that they don't sell products with peanuts if they can't be safe. After I started yelling, he said "thank you" and I just said bye. Hopefully they fix the issue. I know these people are hardworking good people, but they have to run that place...
