El Viejon Mariscos & Sushi Sports Bar — Restaurant in Santa Ana

This place was a mistake. Five of us came in for lunch. No one else was there. Service was still incredibly slow. Our water glasses all had flakes of stuff in it. No horchata was available.

One of our party ordered something and it wasn't available. They ordered something else. Then when food came out, they were told the dish isn't available. At this point we felt like leaving.

Food showed up. Shrimp in ceviche was not cut up and the tostadas were prepackaged. Nothing tasted particularly good. We chose not to eat most of our food due to fears of food poisoning from other reviews.

At no point did the restaurant explain the slow service or why things weren't showing up.

We walked in without looking at the reviews first and unfortunately we should have. Service was very slow, there was a lot of stuff floating in our water glasses and stuff stuck to the bottom. All three of the things my friend wanted to order were not available and they waited until everyone else had gotten their food to tell her the last item wasn’t available which was really weird. Came here for drinks, only 2 of us and got seats promptly. Ordered and one of our drinks came. We waited for the second drink, ironically the simplest drink took the longest. 15 min later, we had to get their attention to remind them. No sorry, no comment from the bartender. Asked for our check and left. For an establishment with multiple locations and food trucks, you'd think they'd be better. Thankfully there's a lot to choose from...
