2 stars for bad customer service. This place is good, food very delicious. Me and my bf come here every 2 weekends for breakfast after church. We order about the same thing. We saw the waitress who attended us very well last time we came, hoping it was going to be her again today. Unfortunately it wasn’t her. Today we didn’t quite received good customer service you usually expect from eating out. We got attended by a mexican waitress thinking okay she might be cool cause she my people. My bf went in to check out the place for seating and he asked her about the wait time. The same waitress who attended us gave him smirky attitude by telling him “I don’t know, they can tell you” and pointed off to another employee, like she didn’t care. I don’t want to do nor say this, but idk if it was because my bf is black. Which I hope that’s not the case. But after my bf came back to the to get me, he seemed upset. We were able to sit down by the register and had to almost wait about 20 or so minutes, to get noticed. Which we understand it’s busy. That waitress after waiting for quite a while came and handed us the menu with 1 set of utensils. And she gave them to me, my bf didn’t get one so I gave them to him and I had to ask for another pair . 10 minutes later she just puts them on the table and walks away, right when I was going to ask her that we are ready to order. We had to wait even more. Finally getting to us I asked her in Spanish, knowing she spoke Spanish to make her comfortable. I ordered a # 7 (siete) but I received #8 (ocho) like how does siete sound like ocho. So she messed up my whole order. But for my bf he asked the Irish potatoes. He received hash brown. So we both ate the food cause it was delicious still but we know not to mess with the people who cook the food. Lol. The whole time we were uncomfortable she made us feel uncomfortable. The guys who got their minutes before us, she attended them very well and she would check up on them but she ignored us the whole time and not to even check up on us. But the other waitress was able to help us out when we got the bill. She was really helpful and very nice and...

Honestly, I’m surprised this place has recently good reviews… didn’t impress me at all! Actually, Yes, it did! In a negative very disappointedly way. Not regarding the service, it was awesome! Extremely friendly young girl was really nice and sweet and attentive, fast, really sweet really. But the place it self, I don’t know… they have two rooms : one of them was extremely tight! No room to walk through and, this being my first time here, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to order at the register or wait and hope for one of the servers to notice we had arrived and waiting to be served, since the place was packed! They have seating outside and inside but honestly, I don’t find this place cozy at all; I don’t know, I’m used to different kind of “cozy” , to me it was more “geto” than cozy, it made me feel like one of those restaurants back at my third world country but with people speaking english instead, lol. Once again, service was ok (despite the fact that our server was eating and probably finishing her break) but it does not change the fact she was nice and sweet. I don’t think I’m coming back. But, give it a try, you might find something good that I did not get...

Skip this place, to many other restaurant's in the area to eat breakfast at with much better service. I never got what I ordered. Customers who came in 30 minutes after I arrived and placed my order with the waiter got served before me. I waited over 45 mins, my waiter said it was coming soon and still no breakfast. I was so hungry. It seems they want to cook up what is easy to make first. I ordered a waffle, 2 eggs, sausages this doesn't seen hard. I was never served my food order, so I walked out. I will not ever go back to this place. Pops you really suck, and really bad service. Make sure you skip this place for really for sure......... Something to think about........I noticed the shelf where the cooks place the food orders that are ready for waiters to deliver a customers. Above the clock on the wall is a ledge where there are three fake plants each in their own baskets. These plants are hanging down over the wall where food is placed for pickup. I wonder how much dust is on these plants that are hanging over the food that customers eat. I am sure the dust does falls on the food that customers eat. Think...

We’ve been twice and it has consistently been good, so I would recommend if you’re looking for a mom and pop style cafe near DTSA. In-depth review: Food: 3/5 - hamburger and fries at $12.50 is a fair price and taste as expected, and the country fried steak and eggs at around $15 is also decent. The Pop’s Country Breakfast (not pictured) was ok but too much gravy that was just ok tasting. Would not recommend the Grilled Chicken Melt (not pictured), it was horrible- very bland and basic, with cheese that was only barely melted and looked like Kraft singles. Pancakes are nice and fluffy and definitely worth trying. Service: 3/5 - consistent good service Price/Value: Par other similar diners, but cheaper than many others, so while expensive it’s just about better than the competition Parking: Limited street parking only takes change or the app, I think free on Sundays? It’s not in too busy of a side street.

First and last time here. Average Denver omelette, packaged English muffins were as expected and the “Irish potatoes,” lacked serious seasoning/flavor. Service is run by college/dropouts with poor customer service skills. That’s not uncommon today and will never change, as the younger, self-entitled generation will never understand what earning a tip requires. Now it’s drop off your plate, never come back to check on the order, not offer to refill your cup and “order expect,” a 20% tip. 🤣 This experience will certainly keep me from eating at restaurants with table staff or only go to high end restaurants where incredible service is the standard. Anyways, at 10ish, this spot was 1/2 or 1/3 empty telling me people rather eat at Norms. 😂😂😂🤮

Noticeable difference in change of ownership. The haven't update the name on the outside. Food: good food and taste but portions were not proportionate. I ordered Pop's Country Breakfast. It should have another egg (not just 1), way less potatoes, and way more gravy. I think the menu stated "...smothered with gravy." Service: coffee wasn't as hot as it should. It was just warm. A nearby customer asked about parking and was alerted about possible towing. That was good. Atmosphere: it was nice but a little warm inside. Overall good but need to reassess their portions. I cheering for them and will check back in a few months.
