Been here many times. Always enjoy everything about going here whenever I'm in the area. Never had a bad experience. While the outside might be considered a bit hole in the wall. Don't let it detract from trying the food here. The inside is much nicer. I really do love the cute manga mural on the wall of the restaurant.
The menu offers a wide array of different rolls and appetizers. Fresh and delicious. I find the rolls to be pretty big, especially for the price. Finishing just two of them takes some effort.
The waitress is a real sweet lady. Interestingly, she never writes down the orders. She just has really good memory. I recall even when I came in with me and three other people one time. She got it all with no problem. Personally, I find it impressive and have to commend her.
Her kitchen staff has also always been quite good of getting the food out in a timely manner. You should never be waiting too long.
If I'm in Downtown Santa Ana, this is personally always my preferred...
Read moreTruly the worst sushi me, and my wife have ever had. Too many red flags that we should have heeded. The place was empty when we arrived. The restaurant looked bleak from the outside and inside. We ordered a crunch roll, a dragon roll, a spicy albacore roll, miso soup, and two cokes. The wacked out looking server, placed two coke cans, with no cups of ice in front of us. We’re supposed to drink out of a can; classy. My wife asked for a cup with ice; she got one and I didn’t. The miso soup tasted like chicken broth, with two small, very hard pieces of tofu in it. The dragon roll had the texture of a slimy slug or an octopus tentacle. The crunch roll was extremely salty. The albacore was barely the best, out of the three rolls, but still subpar. Again, the place was empty, yet they let their phone ring, with an obnoxious loud bell, forever!! It rang for like three minutes. Adding to the already horrible ambiance of the place. We came because of the bogus 4.8 star...
Read moreJust went here for the first time tonight. I don't know of the other places to compare this place to, because we're from out of town. Anyways, we went to dine in. There were 4 of us. A couple of people ordered sushi (Disney and blooming), I got the Koco BBQ mix plate, and my son got the salmon teriyaki bowl. The people who got the sushi said it was really good. My Koco BBQ mix plate was just their bowls but with a miso soup, and it was really good. My son also inhaled his salmon teriyaki bowl. We also ordered Boba. One person got the Thai Tea Boba, and I got the Taro. Both were really good. The service was good and the establishment was clean. The lady that seated us, took our order, They gave us complimentary edamame that was good, and I've actually never had it before. It was a nice snack while waiting for them to fresh make our food, which does take a few minutes but totally worth it and...
