I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience that left me craving for more. This hidden gem of a restaurant truly captures the essence of Greek cuisine, delivering a delightful culinary journey that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning taste buds.

From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. The decor exuded a charming Mediterranean vibe, transporting me to the sunny shores of Greece. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to guide me through their extensive menu, which featured a wonderful array of traditional Greek dishes.

Let's talk about the food. Every bite at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was a revelation. Their menu boasted an impressive selection of authentic Greek delicacies, prepared with the freshest ingredients and expertly crafted flavors. I started with the classic Greek salad, a refreshing medley of crisp vegetables, tangy feta cheese, and a perfectly balanced dressing. It set the tone for an unforgettable meal.

The Souvlaki Platter was another highlight, featuring tender skewered meat accompanied by fluffy rice, grilled vegetables, and homemade tzatziki sauce. Each bite was a celebration of authentic Greek flavors.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill not only excels in its culinary offerings but also in its commitment to customer satisfaction. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that no guest would leave hungry. Furthermore, the prices were reasonable, considering the quality and authenticity of the cuisine.

In conclusion, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is a true gem among Greek restaurants. The combination of attentive service, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding culinary creations make it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the vibrant flavors of Greece. Whether you are a seasoned Greek food enthusiast or a newcomer to this cuisine, prepare to embark on a culinary journey that will leave a...

Just average and very salty. Had a gyro plate and mezze plate. They initially forgot our salads even though they weren’t busy. Then we asked for two dressings (they tried to only give us one? Super stingy..) because there were two salads and the worker claims one is already premixed with dressing. We had places to be so we didn’t push it even though that’s odd plus we trusted him one was already premixed with dressing. Yeah, ok.. so he lied about that and what do you know neither salad had dressing and we had to share one small container of dressing. Dry salad was not appetizing. That cheapness and lying definitely left a bad impression. Also I like real, chunked feta but they use cheaper crumbles here and prefer pitted olives (they say they use olives with pits on the menu but the olives were actually the lower quality ones without a pit). If you go on Yelp there’s another review about someone who double checked their order with the employees here and these people STILL got it wrong. Ugh.

On the mezze plate to go, I didn’t like how everything was thrown together in a to go box without compartments to separate the food. I eat mezze platters around the county and the sauces are always outside the container or better yet in a divided container to avoid this. The dolmas and falafel were touching the two containers of sauces AND the foil of the pita. Where were these sauces and foil stored? Did they touch any dirty surfaces? Did the person or people who handled them always wear clean gloves? I don’t have to tell you how unsanitary that is.

I think I tasted a hint of cream cheese in the tzatziki sauce (I could be wrong could just be the type of yogurt) which was the only unique thing about the food here. I also thought the dolmas were above average. As for the falafel, very disappointing and like two cold small pucks. I had a bad first impression with the workers here since I don’t like being lied to to my face (and apparently I’m not the only one) so I’m definitely not supporting...

Being from Chicago, where Gyros are a staple street food, I'm always on the lookout for them and make it a point to try them at any place that offers them. It's very hard to find a good Gyro around here UNTIL NOW! Oh my goodness within the first bite I was transported to pure taste heaven. The gyro itself is large and trust me that's how you want it. The pita tastes so fresh with a nice soft texture but still able to hold in all the goodness of the filling. There's plenty of gyro meat which has a good balance of seasonings. The toppings which add a flavorful but not overpowering contrast to the seasoning of the meat take it to another level. I also had the feta fries....best I've had ever, even better than the ones served at Greek festivals in OC. They are so flavorful and crispy but not hard or crunchy. They give you ketchup and I love ketchup but it's really not necessary. Squeeze some fresh lemon on them and it's like a party in your mouth. The baklava tastes very fresh and homemade. And I've had my share of baklava tastings as well. The phylo is flakey and crisp, the nuts ground to a perfect texture and the honey/syrup is light yet flavorful. Even my niece who does not like any kind of nuts, said it was so yummy and her eyes just lit up as she chewed it. I've been here twice in 2 weeks and plan on going again soon with guests. You may have to wait a bit for your food but realize that this isn't fast food it's GOOD food. The quality is worth the wait. I also felt that the cost was reasonable,...

You feta believe it. @greatgreekgrillsantaanaca has some MASSIVE gyros 👀 3305 S Bristol St Suite B, Santa Ana, CA 92704 Greek food is probably my favorite kind of food, and The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is an awesome new fast-casual option for a healthy, gourmet lunch in Santa Ana. The restaurant’s menu is stacked with home-grown Mediterranean recipes that are created with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While everything is absolutely delicious, I was stunned at how good the Feta Fries were. This is a nom-worthy snack with tons of cheese, feta, seasoning and FLAVOR. Their Gyros are huge, which is a quality I must say I do enjoy in a gyro. Not only that, they’ve got a fantastic Athenian Burger, which pleasantly surprised me since I haven’t seen a Greek burger like that on any other menus. The Tirokafteri is legendary. Creamy Greek feta with spicy roasted peppers?!! PHEW. Delish. They also have Baklava Ice Cream for dessert that you won’t find anywhere else! The service was absolutely amazing, and the restaurant team is made up of truly good people – check out their recent TV segment on Good Day LA to catch their positive vibe and see a sampling of the delicious food they have to offer. 😊 Grab lunch or dinner here and you won’t be disappointed! #foodreel #greekfood #feedfeed #eater #yum #orangecounty #santaana #fries #burger #gyro #platter #lunch #dinner #greek #wheretogo #wheretoeat #foodinoc #delish #dessert #LiveYourLifeDeliciously #TheGreatGreekMediterraneanGrill

Nestled in Santa Ana, a Greek culinary haven awaits at a charming eatery where the magic of Mediterranean cuisine comes alive. The highlight here is undoubtedly the gyro - a delectable blend of succulent meats, wrapped in soft, warm pita, and topped with a zesty tzatziki that dances on the taste buds. The journey through Greek flavors doesn’t stop there. The array of dips, from the creamy hummus to the rich, garlicky tzatziki, offers a perfect start to the meal. Each dip, served with freshly baked pita, is a testament to the authentic flavors of Greece. A meal here isn’t complete without indulging in their unique baklava ice cream. It’s a fusion that marries the crispy, honey-soaked layers of traditional baklava with creamy, rich ice cream, creating a dessert that’s both refreshing and satisfying. But what truly sets this place apart is its staff. Their warm smiles and genuine hospitality make you feel like part of the family. They guide you through the menu with personal recommendations and ensure your dining experience is memorable. In summary, this little Greek spot in Santa Ana is not just about great food; it’s about the experience - one that combines delicious gyros, exquisite dips, innovative desserts, and heartwarming hospitality.
