Not once, but TWICE! on TWO different visits. Serious training issues of what appears to be a frequent turnover of rookie staff.
Something so elemental as wrapping a special order of a lettuce wrapped Western Bacon cheeseburger, just to get home to take a mouthwatering bite and becoming disappointed and disillusioned that they didn't bother to check they forgot the hamburger patty. WHERE'S THE BEEF!!!
I've been a loyal patron at the Milpas location for the last 18 years... sure, occasionally things are prepared not to the special order requested, and they are cheerful in rectifying the situation; but lately it has become appalling about their indifferent care for the customer. WHERE'S THE BEEF!!!
My current beef is that I now must change my irritated rant about WHERE'S THE LETTUCE!!!
I ordered four chicken sandwiches requesting all to be lettuce wrapped. What rocket science are they employing in the kitchen to not pay attention to what the customer orders?! I get home to discover two of those four sandwiches were prepared with the industrial grade baked buns that I detest. It was a minor inconvenience the first time since I live a few blocks away; but I imagine the grave inconvenience of a screwed up order delivered by Uber Eats!!!

I’d asked if there was another kid’s toy option instead of the skateboard launcher in my kids’ meal. I was hoping for the activity kit. But the old Hispanic man serving our food said rudely, “no, it’s free”. I said it’s not free becuase I paid for it in the kid’s meal and I was asking if they had another option like the activity kit. He again said “no, they don’t have any other options” then turned to talk to his Hispanic female colleague in Spanish. Presumably about me. Such rude customer service here. All he had to say the first time was that he didn’t have any other options available. Also, server could use more training as he made mistakes on my order and was confused when I corrected him. The mistakes occurred before I’d inquired about the toy options. And I was patient while he figured it out, so his rudeness took me by surprise.
This was after I’d waited about 5mins to order, becuase the cash register wasn’t set up to take orders, or maybe they changed cashiers because there was another group already there. And after waiting another 10mins while they prepared the food. I could forgive the wait but the server’s rudeness was uncalled for after I was patient and polite to...
Read moreI have never been to a fast food restaurant with this kind of service before. Heck, most full-service restaurants I go to don't do this good of a job. When my husband asked if they had veggie burgers instead of just saying no, they suggested other vegetable choices on the menu. When I dropped one of my flautas they rushed to help me clean it up and offered a replacement for free. As we ate, the staff discreetly dropped by the table clearing off whatever wrappers we'd finished with and when we finished they were there to clear the table and wipe it off. The restaurant was sparkling clean and the restroom was so clean I could have eaten in there too. The employees all had on sparkling clean, well pressed uniforms. They were personable and helpful. Wish I lived in Santa Barbara, this would be my go-to fast food...
