Gtown Grapefruit Ipa
Goleta, ca. Abv 7.2% ibu: 20. Gtown grapefruit ipa is a hoppy-goodness. A refreshing and flavorful ipa coming in at a drinkable 7.2% abv. This beer is bursting with the aroma and flavor of fresh grapefruit. (available in cans too!)

Lola 2021 Pinot Noir

One of the things I appreciate the most about this place is the variety of wines. While I do enjoy wineries that produce their own wine, I often find visiting those tasting rooms to be a little stale after a couple of trips. Cork’s on the other hand doesn’t make any of their own wine but instead showcases wine from all around the world. The selection frequently changes with a variety of tasting flights to choose from. The location is a little “funky” but that makes sense considering it lives in the funk zone. Relatively small with variety of seating areas including a bar, indoor tables, and both indoor outdoor fireplaces this place is an interesting spot to have some wine and people watch. It can get quite busy on the weekends, particularly if the weather is nice. And, at times it can even get a little rowdy when it’s packed (though I would never consider it unsafe). Located about a half a block from the ocean, this is a good location to stop in if you’re in the area and want some wine. The location frequently has live music in the afternoons. Also notable: they have a variety of beers on tap and in cans so if your entire party doesn’t want wine it’s another reason to stop here. Much like the rest of the area, parking is relatively slim. If you’re open to paying just a little for parking, I recommend the public lots either along Cabrillo (the beach) or the public lot on the corner of Garden St. and Cabrillo. If you opt for the Garden lot, there’s a pass-through into the back of Brass Bear that you can walk through to get to Anacapa Street so you don’t have to walk all the way around.

Tucked just off State Street near the Funk Zone, this laid-back, hole-in-the-wall–style tasting room was such a fun surprise. The owner’s wit and banter had us laughing all afternoon, but he struck the perfect balance of giving our party of four space to enjoy our chats too. We originally stopped in just to escape the heat with one glass, but his wine recommendations were spot on—we stayed for several rounds! Tried the whites, sparkling rosé, and even a few beers… everything was fantastic. Note to owner: Love the idea of the corner seating area with games, but they’re a bit dated. A few newer options—both adult-humor and family-friendly—might make folks linger even longer

Hands down the coziest little bar I’ve ever been to! The vibe is super warm and chill, and the live singer is amazing — makes every drink way more enjoyable. 🍷 Tried three Napa Valley wines and they were all fantastic. The beer tasting is also fun — you get four different beers, each with its own unique flavor. Best part? Super pet-friendly! Brought my cat and we had the most relaxing afternoon and evening here. Everyone feels like an old friend, the staff are incredibly nice and chatty, with the warmest smiles. The atmosphere is just perfect. Definitely coming back!
