A year ago, I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy (facial nerve paralysis)on top of my vasovagal syncope. To my much dismay, I was refrained from strenuous physical activities. Until a friend recommended me to try yoga. I inquired my doctor about it. She said YES because not only it is good for me, it helps to de-stress and circulate my nerve system.
And so I googled online and YogaSix caught my attention. I even subscribed for more additional info. Little did I know, they expanded an opening studio near my home. I was even offered a founding membership special rate to boot. It must be fate so In a haste I signed up!
At first I was nervous given my health condition with limited experience in yoga. But the owner Jen paved the way to build my self confidence. She even recommended which classes to start with and went out of her way to ensure my comfort level without feeling pressure.
I was hooked since my first yoga session. Love the instructors who all are amazing. I even took advantage of virtual LIVE classes since the pandemic outbreak.no even had my friend's daughter to sign up too. She discovered her new love of yoga!
When the county health orders lifted the restrictions by allowing indoor sports activities, I am impressed with all the conscientious efforts the owner Jen entailed to create safety health protocols. Space was strictly enforced with no more than 8 reserved spots and the studio layout was arranged with social distancing, enforced masks on, temp check and provided hand sanitizer. The same protocols applied to outdoors sessions too with social distancing and masks on. So I felt very safe in regards to public health safety.
I am looking forward to return once the pandemic subsides and county health orders are lifted. I...
Read moreI will tell you my experience here. And it’s only my experience. My rate. My feelings. So this place didn’t workout for me . Sinse I made a mistake when I made a reservation through class pass and Mickey up another location which is Cupertino or smth like that, sorry I’m not local at all, traveling here for work. So . Instead of going to Cupertino I came here and found out that this was wrong address I don’t understand this policy policy policy situation - this is just American style of everything - not a customer clients oriented service . Smiles but when it comes to the brands name - like beeing nice - beeing understanding - they just keep saying sorry police police police and the workers they are just robots . You should be customer oriented . I paid already to you stüdyo for the class but another place - why don’t you just accept me into class ?? And saying sorry we understand you made a mistake yes this usually happens to our clients - ent etc . Let me in! And let me have a nice experience with you so I can stay happy and recommend this place . No. They charged me additional money for jump in class!! And 3 $ mat!!! This is - it’s you know ?? What’s this when you are altdey so fridtrated with your own mistake and then the brand keeps charging you showing the ATTITUDE!! Which is not appropriate!! So overall I went to this class and it was so bad . Everyone was just unhappy you should have seen the faces . I left the class and I will not go there anymore . Because I got this experience . And I’m not telling that there is no way to get good experience there - but I feel like this is a pain just about customer service overall . Policy policy policy policy...
Read moreI’ve been impressed by the resilience of this studio’s ability to pivot during these uncertain times. They were just about to open the doors when the pandemic slammed them with COVID restrictions. Since then, I’ve attended in-person inside the beautiful studio (Covid-Safe), outside in the park on gorgeous blue mornings, in-front of the studio doors at sunrise, in the yoga oasis and on Zoom and with the YogaSix app videos. We just have to roll with it, right? And who doesn’t love to be outside? Okay yes, the parking lot is the oasis, but it has been safely marked off from drive-bys, social distancing markers, a glowing ambiance in the evenings and heat lamps for when it’s colder. The yoga Oasis has been particularly relaxing for the evening sessions. I truly appreciate the efforts the owner and staff have gone through to make yoga available to me and to make the experiences as pleasant as possible with each pivot. I also like that they have started a learning series - we are currently learning about the 7 Chakras on Monday evenings in Yoga101 - and I’ve attended a workshop to practice and better understand Chatarunga. That being said- I can tell the instructors are passionate and each one each one brings unique talents and skills to the practice. So, you should be able to vibe with at least one. I’d recommend all the classes for all levels. But be prepared to WORK it out in the sculpt class- good for days you want a cardio challenge added to your routine. Good luck and well...
