K-Star Doshirak — Restaurant in Santa Clara

I recently contacted K Star to inquire about catering for a team of 12. To my surprise, the owner, Ki, personally called me back to explain their catering process. He shared that their catering packages are designed for larger groups and include large trays of food. Ki was genuinely concerned that ordering for 12 people would result in too much food going to waste.

When I asked if they could prepare smaller trays and offered to pay extra (because our team was set on having food from K Star), Ki explained that it wasn’t about the money. Instead, it was about maintaining the integrity of his food, both the flavor and the aesthetic presentation. He emphasized that he could not compromise on the quality and pre-portioned design of their dishes, which really impressed me.

Despite this, Ki went out of his way to accommodate us by delivering individual bowls for our team so we could still enjoy their food. The attention to detail and commitment to quality were unparalleled. The food was absolutely delicious, and the personal care Ki and his team showed left a lasting impression.

It is rare to find a restaurant where the owner takes the time to personally call and explain their philosophy, let alone make accommodations while staying true to their standards. This experience highlighted not only the exceptional quality of K Star’s food but also the genuine passion and integrity behind it.
