Overpriced. Super rude staff. There are better places to go.
I went here a several times with my wife, and I am never going back again.
First, The food prices are ridiculous. $18+tax+tips for a single portion for most items. Its not that the items are any special either, its just regular Korean comfort food. For this money you could go to a much much nicer place. No wonder they were empty every time.
Second, there was an occasion when we were ready to make the order, a staff came by and "demanded" us to order in an extremely condesending tone. I couldnt believe they were treating customers like this. This is Silicon Valley, not a rural town in Korea where you can get away with this attitude. I have never been to a restaurant where I was demanded to make an order! Hilarious!
Third, the boxes that they give for leftovers are almost insulting. You get to pay $50 for a meal for two, and they give you cheap low-temperature plastic boxes for your HOT food. They deformed on our way home. You are not supposed to serve anything hot in these containers! These containers are only for dry foods or room-temperature snacks. Seriously unappitizing, so we threw away everything.
For the money, what you get is almost silly. Please go elsewhere. I don't expect this place to still be in business in...
Read moreLately, I've been hit with a sudden wave of nostalgia for the amazing seaweed-wrapped rice rolls that my best friend from junior high school used to bring. Her mom had that special touch! So, in my quest to soothe my cravings, I embarked on a Roll House adventure. Ah, the memories of those days when I'd exchange my crispy fried chicken with Heewon for her mom's delectable seaweed-wrapped rice rolls. We had our own secret exchange, savoring each other's meals.
This time around, I stumbled upon a pretty cool seaweed-wrapped rice roll joint in Santa Clara.
📍 Location: 3486 El Camino Real, Santa Clara
🍙 What I ordered:
▫️ Half Tuna half beef Roll: Now, personally, I found the tuna more delightful than the beef, but I must say, it lacked that delightful sesame oil kick. Not quite perfection, but it certainly did the trick in satisfying my craving.
▫️ Shortribs with rice: This one's quite satisfying, a hearty portion, and the beef has a slightly sweet flair.
▫️ Tofu Seafood Soup: Whenever I dive into Korean cuisine, I make it a point to indulge in some soup action! And let me tell you, their soup game is...
Read moreI am writing a review to improve this restaurant. Please review thoroughly and think about your service again.
You should wait for 30-40 minutes. Not many restaurants make people wait longer than 30 minutes for the menu to be served. However, this restaurant had to wait 30-40 minutes even though it was busy on weekends, and they didn't ask for understanding in the middle. Customers around it were too nice to complain. I heard other customers said “I should have run out right now.”
The gaps between the tables were too narrow. It was very inconvenient to eat. It would be better to arrange things differently.
The way the owner orders the staff and the words she uses were unpleasant to hear as a customer. The busyness of the restaurant was felt exactly as it was, so I wanted to run out right away even though the food was served late. Owner’s attitude was annoying to staff which would ruin the service quality.
I heard that other table guests had hair on their meals. If there is a hygiene problem as well as the food was served late, wouldn't it be the worst for the...
