I had not initially planned on writing a review, but after an experience I had at the Silicon Valley BW, I decided I should write a review for this hotel on EL Camino Real. When I stayed at this BW, I was initially frustrated by a smell that the room had, but since my fiancee and I were staying for business, I did not want to make a fuss about it, and instead just bought one of those room deodorizers made by CitrusGrove. Obviously it probably would have been better to talk to management about this. Anyway, I give this hotel 4 stars because their service was really great. As another reviewer mentioned, the Latina woman (apparently her name is Maria, which I did not realize) who manages the breakfast does a wonderful job and is very kind. She offered us chai, which was actually pretty good, even compared to ones served in Indian restaurants. Since my husband is Indian she also gave us some spinach parathas one morning. She was very sweet, thoughtful, and kept things well-maintained. The breakfast items were actually pretty decent, even for a vegetarian, and the bakery items weren't overly sweet and always seemed fresh. Despite the smell in our room, I would definitely stay at this hotel again, simply for the positive guest experience we had and the breakfast options. The pool was nice also and other staff members were polite and courteous. We appreciated their level of...
Read moreFantastic Experience. My husband had been transported to Santa Clara Kaiser and I had to find a hotel ASAP. I booked this hotel and went online afterwards to read the Google Reviews. I was worried due to the comments however I realized once there that the hotel has changed hands 2 years ago and the comments were old comments. Please look at the dates of the comments when reading reviews. This is not only a great price but a great hotel. They also provide you with a 20% discount for Kaiser Hospital Patients and Families. I must say this hotel was exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable and this could be an issue for me as I have back problems. I slept very comfortably. The towels were excellent and not rough like most hotels. The Tv was nice size so I could see perfectly. The one thing lacking for me was the Wifi for my ipad. They do accomodate however with a internet station in the lobby. This then did not become an issue for me. Breakfast was free and was just what I needed as well. My sisters came and stayed with me and they thought it was a great place as well. Thank you to the staff there for providing an excellent hotel during a...
Read moreWe had issues with wheelchair accessible rooms. They put us on the second floor with no elevator. So they moved us downstairs into the handicapped room, which we didn't need, just one on the first floor. It looked like it had been cleaned quickly (there was trash on the floor) and it smelled of smoke. When they moved us to the room we requested with 2 beds, it was better, but still had trash on the floor and hair in the shower. I like the in room microwave and coffee maker. The breakfast was great. The lobby and breakfast room have obviously been updated more recently than the rooms and look wonderful. Overall, I just felt like the hotel listing was not an accurate picture of what you get. The staff were apologetic about the accessibility issues but overall I still felt like they could've done more. My son uses a wheelchair and they put us on the second floor with no elevator and then did not even discount us when we had to downgrade to a one bed room. I'm not sure if I should blame them or expedia but it should've been more clear that this isn't...
