Dropping stars after three visits after my first review
Recent visit September-
✨Tried the Gobi Manchuri. It was average and came without a side of ketchup. ✨Tried the Vegetarian Cheese Grilled Sandwich, it’s just cheese dominating all other flavors. And I don’t know why they paired it with sweet chutney other than mint chutney. This is skippable too if you’re craving for a Mumbai sandwich , this won’t match the expectation. 🥪 💗 I really really love their Dahi puri though ~
🌱 A while back, tried the thali as well, good portion size but the flavors are ordinary.

First visit here on a Friday night ! Will be back again 💗
If you’re looking for an all vegetarian family friendly Indian restaurant, this would be a good place to try. The menu is reasonably priced too.
The staff are very friendly and the place is neat is tidy. Kudos to our server of the night Mr. Parabh, he checked on us frequently! ✨
Decided to test out the taste with 3 dishes - 🌱 Dahi Aloo Sev Puri was amazing ! 🩷 I would recommend it 💯 🌱Tried Aloo Paratha! That was one huge paratha for $5.99, comes with a side of Raita. I would’ve preferred lesser green chilli in the stuffing and maybe give a side of pickle/ ketchup to go with it. So this would be a 4/5 for me. 🌱Also ordered the Star Chaat Special Burger - This came with a large portion of fries and ketchup. I will update on the taste once I try it, cause I had to take this home.
Review will be updated when I visit again! Because I...
Read moreHit or Miss. When it opened almost a year ago, i had good hopes, couple of dishes i tried (2 bhels, chole bhature, methi masala puri etc), were good, service was good, staff (and even owner) were friendly and showed lot of appreciation for customers and desire for genuine feedback and wanting to improve. But over time, things have changed (worsened). Thali not good (curries too dry, quantity a bit less), mixed veg pakoda (extreme salty), Missal Pav (owner told me they made changes to preparation as I explained) today not good (if there's no "tarri" and no "farsan" in Misal, then is that a real Missal? Noooooooooooooo). They had staff cut/changes, so has affected service. The desire to customize dish (simple, easily doable customizations) has vanished, it's either "we'll do it our way, you eat it or leave it" attitude now-a-days. No wonder they have no customers on weekdays (especially lunch) and so they are offering 20% discount for dine-in to attract more customers. I'll give it a try a few times but it's not a good/enthusiastic feeling. The food, service, attitude at nearby restaurants like "Radhe Chaat", "Mumbai Express", "Pav Bhaji and more", "Chaat House" is much better. Hope someone in management takes note of this review and genuinely makes changes to make...
Read moreThis is the place to go for all your catering needs. Last week I had catering service for my son's wedding from Star Chaat Cuisine in Santa Clara. Hands down my guests had the best experience of North Indian appetizers and dinner. From day one of approaching Mr.Amandeep if he could take care of my requirements till the day of execution everything was handled in a very professional manner and with utmost courtesy. He was always available to address concerns, handle changes and going above and beyond to help in any way to ensure a smooth execution of the event. The food was excellent, the presentation was fantastic and the desserts were out of this world. I would like to thank the staff of Star Chaat Cuisine Santa Clara and owner Mr.Amandeep for a wonderful experience and we are regular customers of the restaurant as well. They have always impressed us with their customer service.Thank you Mr.Amandeep.Looking forward to many more...
