Management policies regarding ticket payouts and jackpot difficulties have ruined the experience.
Nearly every game, from classics like skee ball to newer games like doodle jump, flappy bird, etc have been ruined by predatory practices and nerfing nonjackpot tickets while making jackpots nearly impossible.
Examples include skeeball, which might still dispense 9 balls, but only actually scores 6. The Paw Patrol spinning wheel, which is targeted for young kids, used to have a jackpot of 50 tickets and be on the easier difficulty side. Now it might be the single absolute hardest jackpot to win in the whole place. The jackpot is at 2050 and I'm pretty sure that's max and it hasn't been hit in almost a year since they changed the settings. Well, besides the nerf gun game which has a jackpot so unrealistic it's comical. I've played video games my entire life. I find it difficult to score 120,000. My highest ever was around 150,000 and I got very lucky. The jackpot should be set around 80,000 and increase daily based on the high score. Lower the ticket payout if they want. But 200,000 plus is crazy. Many games also just have ridiculously low payouts, giving only 1 or 2 tickets per play. I managed to hit the jackpot on super doodle. That used to net 50 tickets. I got a measley 4 tickets. For a jackpot.
Kids want to play games with the thrill of hitting a jackpot and collecting tickets. They've taken that completely away. Maybe a few adults have ruined it by taking advantage of easier jackpots targeted towards kids, but honestly the prizes are such cheap junk anyways, they should either just chalk that up to the cost of doing business or ban those individuals instead of ruining the fun for the 5-10 year olds who now play 100 games and end up with around 2-300 tickets because of their terrible practices.
Now, how about the few non-ticketed games? Most don't even work well. The motogp motorcycle racing game does not allow you to use a boost. And the left screen is zoomed and cropped in a way that you can't even see your speed or what place you are in.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the new adventure zone. $18 every visit, regardless of whether you have their unlimited pass or have previously purchased socks. Makes me miss the playgrounds I grew up with that were free. Maybe charge an additional $5 to the monthly pass...
Read moreWhere do I begin? The ONLY reason I'm giving it 2 stars is cause the food was good and our hostess tried her best "Natalia" to make up for what was already a bad start. Our party reservation was at set at 5:30 pm. Didn't get our table until 6 pm. Standing and waiting in a packed house. I get it. There was a pretty big crowd. So, we stayed as patient as possible. Then the food not only took a very long time but we didn't even get some items. The soda "pepsi" looked like water. Had to let them know to replace the syrup or give us another option. Then, this Chuckee Cheese location is pretty small compared to other Chuckee Cheese locations. So I get that there's not many games to play. Having said that, the staff didn't reset or tried to repair any games that were down. About 30% of the games were on error, call attendant, or just shut down. They need to get it together! I thanked our hostess, who literally started to cry cause she was overly stressed and carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders. She tried her best with what she had, but this was way too much to overcome. On top of that, it was her first time, and I thought it was wrong for her to take on such a big task alone. I received a little discount for all the troubles we went through, which was not enough, but it is what it is. It's going to be difficult to come back to this location. It needs to get it together!
UPDATE! Went back because a family wanted to celebrate here. Oh boy! The pizza came out warm, and I think more on the cold side than warm. The place has cleaned up a bit, and the games were working this time around. But the food needs to come out at least on the hotter side of warm. That was...
Read moreFor once we got our food in under 2 hours. I needed help with a machine and an employee ignored me as he had his headphones in wiping a table so I asked him 3 more times and he finally responded “when im done.” He couldn’t take a break from cleaning the table just to help me super fast. Than I asked him about the machine and he looked confused. My daughters were done playing and excited with there ticket reciepts as we waited for prizes and 5 employees walked by my kids several times with no acknowledgment. No “one second please” I wouldve settled for an “Im so sorry for your wait can you give us 5 minutes.” Then i got a hold of the manager “Gilda” who was extremely rude to my 2 and 4 year old girls and was rushing them to pick a toy. She said what fo you want?! Rudely. She said call me when u pick without giving them a chance to think for .5 seconds. She made my 4 year old cry after they had a fun day playing. I asked Gilda “I thought this was a kids place?” She said it is. I said than can you be nice to the kids and give them a second? I continued to pay for my kids toys 5 dollars for a squishy ball cuz they didnt have enough tickets and were rushed. She shouldve gave them those cheap toys as courtesy for making them cry. Never again am I bringing my kids back. I talked to the cashier about my experience with her manager Gilda and she said everybody is quitting because of her and everyone complains. Maybe they should not have bitc**s working in a place parents take their kids...
