Maria's Italian Deli — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

I love Italian food and this little place is by far my favorite. I usually get the spaghetti or the lasagna and each time it impresses me with it's quality and price. I like to make my own lasagna and always get the sauce and cheese from Maria's as I suck at making a good sauce.

While I have heard a few people say they had bad experiences with mediocre pizza, the one time I ordered a deep dish it was flawless so I guess the cooks were simply having an off day for some people. Everyone I take here come out happy and full so I will continue calling Maria's Deli one of the best Italian food joints around.

On a side note thought the parking lot is terrible and nearly impossible to figure out despite how many times I've been there with it's one-way roads and parking spots that seem to change directions whenever they feel like it often leaving people confused when they find themselves driving against traffic and have to leave only...

I hate writing this because this was my favorite place to go. This place has gone down hill. The food is horrible and the management sucks. I ordered the sampler and asked for mushrooms in my sauce. Paid extra for it. The guy who brings me my food gives me my plate and there is no mushrooms, so I told him I ordered mushrooms and he refused to give them too me. I told him I paid extra for the mushrooms and in Spanish called me a liar. When he realized that I wasn't Iying. He brings me my money back and asked if I would like the mushrooms. I said NO and I took my food to go and left. Well I called and talked to management and she said she would give me a free sample platter for free. So she said just to mention her name . So I came back and she doesn't remember me and gave me the food but was completely rude. So I finally got my food came home no mushrooms and no ravioli in my platter. I will...

Maria's. Why did I give it five stars? Because in twenty years of eating here, the food was exactly the same quality every single time. Every item on the menu is consistently good. Pizza? Not the best I've ever had, but without a doubt the best pie for many miles. In fact the pizza here is so good, that by the slice still beats every shop in town fresh out the oven. The sandwiches are always great. Check out the Godfather, now that's a sandwich.The beer is always cold. The cannolis are well worth cheating that diet for. And the service is always good. I've eaten here hundreds of times. When it's empty. When it's packed. These folks get it right no matter what. They are one of the few old stand bys still around.
