Asked for a well toasted bagel, and I got charcoal instead. How can someone see this and serve it to a customer! I tried to eat the bagel, but the burnt taste was too strong.

The owner of this place is a sick individual. He screamed and yelled at my kids for bringing in Jamba Juice to his tired coffee shop. The audacity that this man has is unbelievable. We really appreciate local Santa Cruz community to not support businesses with owners that act this way in our community. Enough is enough, boycott this lame, business, and owner until he’s forced to sell it to a local that actually...

If only they would hire more folks. I love the coffe, food, and vibe. Every time I come here in the morning, they seem short staffed. One person behind the counter taking the the orders, handling the money, making the drinks, AND the food?!? — because their coworker has to do bean deliveries? — not a great excuse, in my opinion. I ordered a flat white and I got a 12 oz latte with no foam. Another time I asked what a "Royale" was and I was told it's the same as a latte. The coffee is pretty good but some of the baristas haven't been trained properly and just make a latte no matter what you order. 15 years ago I would have said LuLu's is the best cafe in Santa Cruz. Now I'd say go to Verve or...
