Garfield park is alright It super close to the Ocean which is really nice . Just a short walk from there! It's also close to Santa Cruz bike/ walking/bike path. And if you follow that path it will take you straight to natural bridges( my favorite ocean beach and picnic spot. Garfield park isn't the nicest park but it is far better than San Lorenzo..There are a lot of families in the area they play ping pong, basketball and practice throwing/ catching with ball. There is almost always a basket ball game going on. The toddler park is a nice size good for little ones .ages 1y to 8.yrs. mostly for little ones. There are restrooms there which are pretty clean. The park maintenance is really nice..overall it's a decent park.play ground ,,bbq area tables, lots of benches to sit on in the shade, good atmosphere....

Great for little kids and older kids with two different play structures to play on and lots of lawn space for running around.
No designated parking lot but plenty of street parking...
