Lake Ave Del Taco: The Impossible Happened

Hold the phone! Stop the presses! Did a glitch in the matrix just hit the Lake Avenue Del Taco in Pasadena?

I pulled up, fully prepared to write a new chapter in my "Battle of the Drive-Thru" novel, and... there was no line. Not a single car. I felt like I had won the bureaucratic lottery.

I ordered my sacred trinity:

The 3-Layer Nacho: The worker was so quick, the beans and cheese were actually hot and perfectly layered. This wasn't food; this was a work of performance art delivered at the speed of light. Cheddar Quesadilla with Medium Sauce: Delivered with surgical precision. The Medium Sauce packets were correct, abundant, and handed over with a smile. My baddie heart almost stopped—I didn't even have time to mentally compose a sassy comeback! Iced Coffee: The speed demon behind the window handed me the cup before I finished paying. It was cold, strong, and ready to fuel my disbelief.

Final Verdict: Forget therapy. Forget meditation. A smooth, fast trip to the Lake Avenue Del Taco is the new peak state of being. The staff was on it, efficient, and acted like they actually wanted to be there. I was in and out so fast, I didn't even have time to finish my audiobook. This isn't Del Taco, honey, this is a pit crew. 10/10, would get my life...

Not only did it take 6x to get our complete order of 2 types of boxes 2 crunchdadas, lg fries, quesadilla, and ranch chicken roller, it took them almost 10 mins to give us our under cooked cold fries! Our drive through experience took a total of 25 mins or so to receive cold food and under cook yeah we will not be going back to the location on Imperial and Leffingwell.... So disappointed!!!!

Okay I gave this location a second try I ordered fish tacos with avocado and potato poppers thank God I had potato poppers because the fish tacos were old and they smelt and tasted like garbage. They were so old and look right inside when I broke the fish apart disgusting I don't know how this location is still in business I will not be going to this location and really thinking about not going to any Del Taco again so...

I had a mobile order placed and decided to pick it up at the drive thru. The wait time for me between confirming my order at the speaker and picking up my food at the window was longer than I expected it to be. There was only one vehicle ahead of me, so I thought it wouldn't be taking too long. By the time I picked up my food at the window though, it was almost ten minutes since my order was confirmed at the speaker window.

Also, when I got to the window, she read to me the wrong order total, when I had already paid for my order through the app. Thankfully, the food was already in the bag, my order was correct and it was delicious! I will still order from here since Del Taco makes a delicious veggie burrito and tacos del carbon, but I hope the wait time at the drive thru picks up a bit...
