If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My boyfriend and I used to stop here every morning to grab a burrito — they even have a sign posted outside promoting how reasonable they are. However, the man outside who takes orders and serves the food is extremely rude, especially in the mornings. While my boyfriend stops by more often, the few times I've gone with him, I immediately noticed the man's unprofessional behavior. Management really needs to address the lack of courtesy, rudeness being shown to customers. I’m seriously considering recording these interactions and sharing them on social media to make others aware of how poorly customers are treated. For example, we once asked for a bag, and the man rudely told us, “They’re 50 cents. You’re already getting a cheap burrito — come on.” I was stunned not only by what he said but how he said it. This isn’t an isolated incident — it happens regularly. At this point, I’d rather take my business across the street and pay more for better service than continue coming here. Unless something changes, especially with the man’s morning attitude, I won’t be returning. Next time I’ll be posting a video on social media on the...
Read moreOffended. I've always wondered about, Rubi's. Live up the street, for about 25yrs. Finally went in, yesterday. I wish, I had decided to continue wondering. I ordered a shake. It was an extremely hot day, so I decided to drink it there-while waiting for my partner. He and, I were both worn out from the heat. Our appearance, was the least of our concern. We did not look our best. We knew that. However, I believe even if we didn't look....up to par-we still didn't deserve to be asked to leave. We weren't even done, with our shake...when one of their employees came over and says- "My manager says if you're not going to order anything else to eat, he'd like you to leave". Like I said, I'd never been there so it wasn't like I'd caused problems there. I purchased a shake. Why was I asked to leave? Sounds like discrimination, to me. I didn't deserve that. That was absolutely, ABSOLUTELY rude. Who are they, to profile me? Who are they, to discriminate?
I cannot believe, I was treated in such an unprofessional manner.
I will make everyone aware of my experience.
I will tell everyone not to go there. And to...
Read moreMy family has been going to rubies since they opened years ago. Loved every trip and every bite of good food. Unfortunately we no longer go to rubies because a manager accused my family member who has longest history with the restaurant (her father took her as a little girl just as she took me as a little boy) accused her of putting plastic fragments into her order one night too get free food. She was so upset after 50 years of patronage to be told that. I did not like what I heard and I went down to rubies and again told the manager about the plastic fragments that had fallen into the food at the restaurant. His anger reached a point that I feared our interaction was close to turning into mutual combat. As a former law enforcement officer I know a place like that is not a place for my family or myself. I actually went on a bike ride with friends the other day ( pictured ). They went in for ice cream and I just sat outside and looked over the bikes. They had a great time. I had a great ride. Enjoy your experience. .. just don't ...
