Read moreThis place has the best pollo assado. Grilled/roasted (however they cook it). The chicken was fully cooked but not dry. The seasonings were enough that you could eat it without needing to add sauces or salt for it to taste amazing. Meat had the perfect smokey flavor. This place doesn't look like much, but was my favorite food of my trip to Santa Fe. If I am ever in Santa Fe I will definitely be back for more.

Read moreWe run an auto shop down the street, and while customers are waiting I do not hesitate to send them down to El Rey Del Pollo for an inhumanly good chicken burrito - served with beans, actual avocado and proper good tomatoes. Flautas served fresh and without stale ends, pollo entero party platters for dinner, and the world's most ridiculously spicy salsa rojo. No joke, this stuff has to be diluted with other Mexican restaurants' salsa so you don't have to spend the whole time crying like when Mufasa died. It's like, past Thai hot. It is an experience.
