I stayed at this Hyatt Place in March 2023. The hotel seemed nice and well kept and the clerk at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The room seemed very clean and the layout was nice as well. However, the bathroom was very disturbing to say the least. The shower wasn’t very nice to begin with, the grout was yellow, unclean and missing in spots. But the game changer were the hairs on the shower floor and behind the toilet. There were several.🤮 I took a few pictures detailing the types of hair and the cleanliness in general. Needless to say, I didn’t take a shower. After driving 9 hours to arrive, the last thing I felt like doing after unpacking was repacking to change rooms. It was gross enough that I cancelled the reservation I had made in advance for the following Friday night for my return trip. The hotel was also very loud- kids running up and down the halls- we were by the stairwell and they ran down those and slammed doors as well. Not worth the $200 plus tax that I paid. I contacted corporate over a week ago with this info and haven’t had any response. I’ve had this kind of experience at several Hyatt’s in the last couple of years. Not impressed and won’t be staying at a Hyatt in the near future.

Never will I rent or refer anyone to rent a room from the Hyatt Place in Santa Fe ever!! Unless you are 60 + in age & have no children, you will feel unwelcome. My family and I were treated so rudely by the young man who checked us in, as well as the young girl who checked us out. We were never greeted upon arrival & we felt we were an inconvenience. The guy checking us in hands us the keys to ours rooms and never once explained the amenities offered by the hotel like the another staff member did for an elderly couple checking in the same time we were. We go to our room & not even 10 minutes later the phone to our room rings. It's a call from the same young man who checked us in. When I answered he asked that we be courteous to the other guests in the hotel & keep the noise down. Let's keep in mind that it was 4 pm. It's not like people were sleeping. My response was that we were not being loud, it was simply a family of 7 who just arrived trying to get settled in, discussing where we should go for dinner.

It gets worse. The following morning when my mother & two older children went down to eat breakfast, they served themselves at the buffet & then noticed there were no eating utensils so they asked the girl at the front desk for some. Her response was that breakfast was over. My mom said they had already served themselves but that there were no silverware. She seemed irritated, walked to the back & returned with plastic forks. She sais since breakfast was over she would have to give them plastic forks. Right after an elderly couple asked the same question & they were given actual silverware. It's not the fact that they had to eat with plastic forks that bothers me, but the fact that they were treated different than the other guests, which we noticed throughout our entire stay. When we checked out with the same girl hours later & returned our keys she seemed surprised that we had rented two rooms. She did not once ask how our stay was or at least thank us for staying. She asked if I wanted receipts for the rooms and I ofcourse said yes. She handed them both to me and that was it. I walked out upset but relieved that we no longer had to stay there. Customer service is so important! All it takes is one bad experience like this and a person like myself who travels often for work, will never stay at another Hyatt Place nor will I refer this hotel to anyone ever!! This has been the worst experience for my family and I. The Hyatt Place management should hire people who have many years of customer service experience & who actually enjoy working with people. The front desk is the face of your business. If you have a terrible person checking in and out your guests, who treat people terrible & unfairly then you are going to lose a lot of business. I feel the $400 we paid for these rooms was a complete waste. if you are not age 60 + with NO KIDS, DO NOT rent a room from the Hyatt Place!! Even if I were 60+ clientele they preferred, I still would not recommend to return...

Would rate zero stars if possible. The staff is unbelievably rude. They refunded my entire stay because the housekeeping department does not know the meaning of clean or how to treat their guests. We were asked if we needed a “later check out” by housekeeping at 8:45am when checkout ends at 12pm because they were trying to pressure us into leaving early so they could clean our room. When I called the front desk to ask to speak to a manager, the girl working the desk then told me she would locate someone and hung up on us instead. When I approached the desk she even mentioned she knew we were in room 312 and that she had been disconnected yet she never called us back despite knowing exactly which room we were in? She then told me they did not have a manager on staff despite telling me that the manager would be there at 10am. Almost immediately after she got a call and then told me actually a sales manager could talk to me. The sale manager is beyond rude, she did zero out my reservation but only after arguing with me over many of the complaints I had. I was emailed only a zeroed out invoice showing no refund to a card. I even asked the front desk if I needed to contact the third party I’d booked with and she said no that they would refund me themselves and she promised to email the copy with the payment details. Of course, this never happened and I once again had to call them. When I called them I once again spoke with the charming sales manager who immediately began to berate me for leaving them “nasty comments and reviews despite them refunding me” which mind you, I’ve not received any refund yet. I truthfully had even forgot I left the reviews regarding the incident that had occurred and the dirtiness of the room so I was very taken aback, especially considering I was calling to have them fulfill their promise to send the proper email. She then continued arguing with me telling me that the email they sent is all they have and that they cannot send a copy with payment details despite telling me they would. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I work as a front desk agent for a hotel myself and could never imagine treating guests this way. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE A CLEAN ROOM OR PLEASANT STAFF...

My flight was cancelled and I was tired, the airport gave us vouchers for our hotel stay for the night. After getting my bags in the room I decided to get something to eat at the mini bar. I met a sweet lady who talked with me and she even paid for my food, god bless her. Overall staff performance was satisfactory-ish. I appreciated the eagerness and help received from one of the front desk staff, I didn't catch his name but he checked me in at like 9:45pm on Friday April 27, Thankyou sir! :) So why the 1 star? Well, I got back to my room and was heading for bed like I said, I was tired. It was a super long day on my feet, my dad is sick and we had a bad day already so I [like anyone else] was expecting comfort from our comfy clean beds..... BUT instead as I turned down my sheets (all excited to crawl in) noticed my pillows were dingy dirty looking and had multiple hairs all over, not just on 1 but all 3!! So I looked at the sheets and same thing :/ so I called front desk and they offered to get me new sheets but my sick father was asleep and didn't want to wake him so I'm just going to sleep in these dirty sheets because I don't want to risk waking my dad by the sound of the door. I told front desk I would leave a low review and I explained the reason for such a low score is solely because if the importance of clean sheets... This is supposed to be a nicer hotel and all most guests really care about is being able to cuddle up into some nice fresh sheets... Please, Please Please talk to your housekeepers and explain the importance of clean sheets. Also the vroom inspectors are failing to catch this problem as well... They should be using lint rollers on beds to check for this. I recommend to all guests PLEASE check your beds before you climb in!! Have a...
