I got the Berry Bowl with goji berries and coconut yogurt; I really enjoyed its simplicity— can’t really go wrong with this kind of bowl. I was excited to try the “bed of coconut yogurt” that I added to my bowl, however, that “bed” was positioned at the bottom of the bowl which was a bummer, as I couldn’t really appreciate it. I thought it’d be in the middle layers. Otherwise, I would’ve gone for the other put-in-blend option that was positioned. The main reason for the non 5-star review though is for the Dragon Bowl. My girlfriend’s a huge fan of pitaya bowls, and frankly this one was very underwhelming. I know that dragonfruit has a mellow flavor as is, but I think the coconut milk isn’t a good ingredient for this blend because overall the bowl just tasted like water. Once it gets to room temp (in a matter of ~10 mins) it really becomes unappetizing. We both got mediums and she couldn’t...

Cute spot to get acai bowls. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but it means that it’s quiet and you could also get some work done should you wish to grab an indoor or outdoor seat with your laptop and start grinding. They’re on Ritual too, and participated in the $1 Eats Week where I got a large Island acai bowl for $3 (it’s $1 for the regular size). It came in a deep tall cup and had a good proportion of strawberries, blueberries, coconut flakes, and honey plus granola. The granola did get a little soggy towards the end but it was fine. The bowl surprisingly stayed pretty cold during my 10 min walk back to the office and the consistency of the acai was on point. Overall a cute, small place to get an acai bowl...

Backyard Bowls has the best açaí and breakfast bowls in LA, period. Today while enjoying my bowl on their patio (doggy friendly!) l overheard one woman say “Wow, this is so good! What is this place - Backyard Bowls?” Yes ma’am, it’s your lucky day, you’ve discovered your new favorite, fruity-yet-filling, healthy craving place, Backyard Bowls. The Island Bowl (with strawberries, coconut, mango, and granola) is go-to for me, but I also love the Green Bowl (with spinach and ginger) and the new Warrior Bowl (with crunchy almonds, blueberries, hemp milk, and greens blended with the açaí). Whether you’re from LA or just visiting, don’t miss out on these creamy...

So glad there’s a location here in Santa Monica! I been to the Santa Barbara location and that’s still one of my favorite spot. I love the green bowl and the power bowl! There’s no place that makes it better than Backyard Bowl. If you love Açaí or looking for a good protein smoothie or bowl after a workout, come here!! As far as parking, it’s Meter parking only. I don’t know if there’s a parking structure nearby but the street is not that busy usually. I was here on a Saturday and I found parking. My experience here was great. Service was exceptional.

On a stroll this morning for some wholesome goodness. Stopped here to enjoy a healthy start tithe day with a bowl. I went with the Aloha bowl and Island bowl. While my wife opted for the Power bowl. All of which were filling, to say the least. Flavour was 8/10 while the service was 12/10!!! Very happy, polite staff, that are pretty quick to make the bowl! Despite the somewhat busy nature of the store, we were sitting down eating within 5 mins. Moved a patio table out a little and enjoyed the sun while we ate.
