This was the scene at the Goodwill on 6th and Santa Monica Blvd on 4-22-24. Though their donation center was open in the morning it closed by 11:30 am and this is what happened with all those donations. Homeless and others rummaged through donated items. This issue has been ongoing, this is the worst I’ve ever seen. I called the store and spoke to Ty their supervisor and told her what a mess this was and to have to cleaned up and she said she would let Tim there store manager know, but nothing ever happened. My coworker went to speak to Tim to let him know and he said he was too busy? What a shame of a non profit 501C that all those donations were treated like this and the GW refused to open the donation center and clean their mess instead we had our janitor and the city of Santa Monica clean it. It was like a scene out of Mad Max the homeless were fighting over items and cursing at anyone asking them to leave. They blocked our business entry with their free donated items. The police was also called as well as their corporate office and we requested all items to be cleaned or disposed of. Take your business to the Salvation Army, Timeless Treasures, Discovery Store or the...
Read moreHorrible customer service and quality of clothes. I spent an hour trying to find an outfit for my company's christmas party that's tomorrow (they dont really have a great collection of clothes, most had stains or material was worn looking and still priced at $10-15+) anyways, I managed to find a decent skirt and sweater in my size. I walked away for a split second to call my mom over, and in that second the employees took my cart and scattered all my items in just a few minutes. I quickly noticed my things were gone and informed them immediately. They couldn't even get them back for me or TRIED to help me find them, said they "forgot where they put them at". Like you guys just took my things in less than 5 minutes and already forgot where you put them at? I was at the brink of tears (was having a long day already) and I feel like they didn't care to help at all. The manager didn't really do anything about it either. I found the cooking pot and cat ceramics that were in my cart on my own, so I bought those things and left. This is the last time I shop here. Clothes and...
Read moreI am a regular customer here and have seen the manager, Timothy Morgan verbally abuse his employees and when I have asked him for a specific item that I had been "eyeing" he told me it was removed and sent to another location. However, the following day, that item i wanted to buy, was returned and displayed inside the glass case at regular price. The day I asked about that item, it was on discount ( color of the week discounted) .
Another time, I have seen him speak in a very loud voice that HE was NEXT IN LINE,( as if he was a customer). He was telling his employee that the line started where he stood, not where the other customers were standing. I, along with the other customers looked at each other and moved the line behind Timothy Morgan, and shook our heads in dismay.
I also learned the employees must CLOCK OUT when they need to use the restroom, and then CLOCK IN when they are done. Is this legal??
However, I still enjoy browsing this particular Goodwill store for treasures, and I would give this store 5 stars, but.. Timothy Morgan, and his behavior is...
