We visited on the last day of our California trip and bought two tamales. They offered card payment. The payment kept failing. They claimed it was due to “being near the ocean”. We asked if they had another card machine. They did. We used that one and the payment went through. Upon returning home we found they had charged us twice. Dusputed the charge with our credit card company and they contacted the vendor who produced two receipts for two purchases. This is criminal behaviour and we caution EVERYONE who visited the pier to STAY AWAY from this vendor!!

I didn't have enough cash to pay for my food so I gave the man my card and he charged me an extra $60!!! I found this out later when I went back to my hotel and saw an email with a transaction alert. I believe the employee must've combined my order with the person ahead of me, did not offer me a receipt, and failed to mention I spent $75 on three tamales. I have tried contacting the vendor multiple times to fix this issue since my credit card company's investigation sent me a receipt with 10 extra items I did not order.
