I don't typically eat donuts but I was working across the street and needed to grab something to snack on before my meeting and I love Apple fritters so i thought i would walk over and grab one. After working my way around the homeless people camped out front i made it inside. The display case was packed which was nice and they had plenty of Apple Fritters on display. The service was fast since there were only two customers in there and i asked the guy for an Apple Fritter. He didn't grab one out of the display but grabbed one off of an open rack sitting behind the cash register. I thought that was weird but then thought maybe those are the fresh ones. He tossed it in a brown paper bag with no paper around it which seemed a little unsanitary to have the donut just sitting in the bag unwrapped. I also wanted a hot chocolate but there machine was broke so i just got the donut. I walk back across the street to my job site and had to leave for a meeting so i hadn't tasted the donut yet. As im driving i take a bite and the donut is dry and burnt. I was hoping for a moist, soft donut but i got a hard, dry, burnt one. I guess the rack behind the register are the bad ones. If i wasn't off to a meeting i would have turned around and returned it but i didn't have time. Needless to say i won't be going back here. I gave it 2 stars because the service was OK and the...
Read moreThis review is not a reflection on the quality of the donuts, because those are amazing. Instead I want to review the manager at this particular location. Like I said, the donuts are so tasty and I highly recommend them. However, I have a hard time coming back to this location now because of how horrible the manager is. I was walking in and a man outside asked me very kindly if I could buy him a hot coffee (it was a cold day). I never decline anyone food so I said of course and walked inside. When I tried ordering the coffee the manager said he couldn't serve it to me because it was for the man outside. I asked why and he said "the more we offer those kinds of people food, the more they will beg. They'll never learn and it's bad for our business. We need to get them out of their bad habits". I was really disgusted by his response and by the fact he was talking about the man like he was a dog or something? I told the manager the coffee was actually for me and he still refused to serve it to me. I ended up leaving in tears and had to explain to the man that I wasn't allowed to buy him a coffee. The man was so kind and not bothering anyone and was very understanding. Unfortunately, I think a bad review is more likely to hurt the business than me buying a coffee for someone outside. Sadly, I will not be returning to this location. I can't stand cold hearted...
Read moreMy friends took me here after celebrating my birthday at a restaurant because they know I like the M&M raised donut here which I go most of the time to their Burbank location. We came like an hour before they were closing so we found parking just fine in the back but be aware that parking is limited here. When we walked inside, I didn't see M&M raised donut on the display so I asked the guy working and he told me they won't have a lot of donut so what I see is what they got. I ended up picking the regular glazed donut and also ordered a large iced spicy chai latte for my wife. While I was waiting for the drink to come out, I went to use the bathroom which you need a code to get inside. Once I came out, I saw my drink was done but it was the medium size. I checked the receipt and I couldn't tell if I paid for the medium or large because it just said the cup size. I just left it as is and went outside to eat my donut with my friends in their outside patio. The glazed donut was fine to me but I would've prefer the M&M Raised donut. If you sit outside, you'll most likely going to see homeless people walking around or sitting in the patio or just the screaming...
