Terrible custtomer service. Far, far better service at the Venice location. Ordered toast and flat white. When I ordered the toast from a young man at the counter, He asked "what kind of toast", pointing to toast with avacado etc. on the menu. I said "just toast" He asked "what did I want on the toast". I asked what my choices were. He said "Jam, cream cheese, butter., honey" . He seemed a bit put out, impatient with my questions. There was no one else in line so I am not sure why he was annoyed. . I explained I had not been to this particular location. I asked for jam. He said they were out of jam. Ugh! I asked for honey as it was listed on the menu as one of the condiments. Even the toast at the Venice location is better. I have been there twice and was servied two thick slices of delicious toast. Santa Monica, I was serviced one slice of bread.. A girl working there served me the toast and brought me a to go cup and container of honey and asked me how much honey I wanted. She stood there ready to pour honey from the plastic container in the to go coffee cup. I took the container and put the honey on my toast and returned the bottle to her. Toast, no napkin. I asked for sweetener for my coffee. She looked put out! She told me where I could go and get it myself. I got up went to the counter where she told me to go-got my sweetner, napkin and coffee lid. All good.
On the flip side, I have eaten at the Bluestone in Venice, CA. The service was excellent. I ordered the same thing during both my visits. The wait staff were nice both times. Helpful. Answered my questions, without making me feel like I was a bother. Made conversation. Told me about the Bondi burger. Told me I should come back and have dinner. So pleasant!! Made me feel welcome and made me feel I would be welcomed again. . I was given ample toast, various condiments was available for my toast. Napkin was at the table so I didn't have to ask or fetch my own. LOL. I will go back to the Venice location again. Look forward to trying dinner...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat for a quick coffee - their iced magic is the most balanced coffee Iāve tried in LA - which makes me overlook their lack of efficiency. But honestly the service is SLOW, unapologetic, and then⦠to add to it all, incorrect.
Iāve ordered food twice from this branch. Each time was SO slow. The first I could understand because it was pretty busy and the I assume the owner was there because he profusely apologized for the wait and gave me chocolates (haha) to appease us.
This second time was horrible. I ordered via the app (because ya canāt get points if you donāt) and it took SO long. They had my order number sitting for 15 min. Store wasnāt full but when i got there my tortilla for my burrito was sitting out with flies around it⦠they took another guyās order in-store (with food mind you) and he got out of there before I did.
Then, I ordered EGG WHITES on the app and they gave me regular eggs, saying āsorry its an app issue pls raise to customer service in app and theyāll issue you a refundā. So I did raise it and customer service was the worst customer service experience Iāve had.
No remorse, no offer for refund, nothing. Just āok your concerns have been noted to our GM. Weāre sorry for the inconvenience.ā If youāre asking me to pay 7 dollars a day for coffee and 12 bucks for food, Iād expect better - and thereās a health reason for asking for egg whites so I couldnāt even eat it. I gave it to my sister.
I went to Bluestone almost daily since we moved but this brand honestly doesnāt deserve your money or loyalty. š š so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped going here for months because service is extremely slow and baristas hardly acknowledge anyone. I figured after some time maybe the staff changed or the systems were better. Today I made an order at 9:13am with the āpromise timeā of 9:18am. I donāt mind waiting 5 min or even a little more than that. I used to be a barista and get how orders can flood in and the machine automated the pick up times. my order was put on the counter at 9:34am. I showed up around the pick up time not expecting it to be ready, but It wasnāt until about 9:27 did I see anyone start working on the drink. The woman making it got on the phone to talk to someone with what sound like logistical or machine issues they were having. I donāt know if that had anything to do with the smoothies that were in queue but it didnāt seem relevant to making them since the blender was working just fine. Whoever is in charge of setting the system to prompt automated pick up times needs to adjust it so that patrons arenāt standing around waiting. Iām a 5 min walk from here and would have been cool if the pick up time was 20 min later so I could just leave my place later. I recognize the pick up time canāt be adjusted by the baristas but I feel like the casualness of their making the orders was just as disappointing. The guy on the espresso bar seemed to be on point with his orders. Everyone seems so...
