Sharetea Santa Monica — Restaurant in Santa Monica

TLDR; Not a review of the drinks but A BIG SHOUTOUT to the AMAZING staff of this shop for helping me and my sister when we were followed by a very drunk guy in the afternoon of 5/3.

When I noticed a very drunk guy with two beer bottles in his hand seemed to be following us (specially me and my sister) as we strolled down the street, I decided to go into Sharetea to ask for help from a very nice staff who was working on the order tablet. The staff calmly conveyed the message to the staff inside and made himself a barricade between me + my sister and the drunkard who followed into the shop. He tried to talk the drunkard (who was throwing a fit and try to get to us) to get out of the shop while making sure there is no opening for him to get to us. The male staff inside helped call the police and ensure us that they are coming. Additional good samaritan nearby and another amazing staff from the pizza store next door also came over to help. After what felt like hours, the drunkard moved out of the shop and made a scene in the middle of the streets instead before walking away. I am so surprised by the customer service I received at Sharetea. I went in the evening of the 4th of July. The guys working there were cleaning and when I walked in, they immediately stopped to help me. I asked one of the guys about almost everything on the menu and he kindly answered all of my questions. After I finally selected what I wanted, he made it, and I thought that it was too sweet. He helped me out by giving me some more tea to dilute the sweetness and I immediately spilled it all over the counter. He very kindly cleaned it up and told me not to worry about it. I felt so bad, but he assured me that it was okay. Long story short, their customer service was excellent and they were so kind despite all of that. Great boba, streamlined self ordering experience but definitely missing the human experience. Our group ordered 6 drinks and had a couple of questions but with no cashier we had to guess the answers. The improvement would be to add more description to the individual menu items (like flavor notes of different tea options such as Hokkaido and Okinawa).

The boba was good and the portions were pretty big. I like that they offer ice and sweetness options.

I definitely do recommend...
