My experience at Santa Monica Massage and Reflexology Center was one of the worst I have ever experienced in LA. The front desk lady, Tracy was incredibly rude and prejudice. I purchased a groupon to try this spa as I have just moved to LA and from the moment I told her it was a Groupon she was rude about scheduling me. I arrived to my massage about 10 minutes late to which she rudely stated because I was Groupon I wouldnāt get that time back but today she was feeling nice. I was indifferent to having the additional 10 minutes as that was on me for being late. When I finished the massage she continued to note the discounted price which is how I found the spa in the first place. She also proceeded to tell me that I needed to tip based on the original amount of the massage and not for what I paid on Groupon. When I told her how much I was tipping which was 15% based on the price I paid she said well thatās only 10%. As if I am obligated to tip at all. Itās a courtesy and my choice to tip. She was rude and kept demanding the tip. And how great of a deal I got. Itās not my responsibility to account for the price difference. I paid the Groupon and expected a decent massage. What I received were accusatory and loaded words. Cleary Tracy needs a lesson on customer service. I will not be returning to this poorly run establishment and neither should you. Save your money because being yelled at after you just had a massage to relax is not worth the discounted Groupon price. I left without tipping because Tracy was so rude and unprofessional. If I could have given cash to the therapist directly I would have but due to Tracyās bad attitude I was not going to tip. Donāt work in a massage clinic to relax people if youāre going to be rude and project your life problems on other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDiscrimination from masseuse Orsi Iām not sure why sheās discriminating against me because she has seen me twice before and the owner flat out told me to my face that she doesnāt like massaging me something Iāve never heard of before
I went in to get a massage again from Orsi and the manager , Lily ,specifically told me to my face that she just doesn't want to massage me and I have no idea why as I've never had this problem anywhere else But they kept playing me for stupid saying oh she has to go home she has a family emergency the last time there was another issue allegedly with her that she wasn't feeling well & Then she still saw me. Which is very peculiar and then Iām being told that she just doesnāt like massaging me She should have her license yanked I've always liked her & tipped and if it was about the tip she could've said something I've never had a problem tipping anywhere if it's if she just doesn't like me Because of my race or anything else or my tattoos that's fine but then maybe she should not be working in an all inclusive community There is no one else here that is good I have used the other masseuses here and it's a joke A lot of the equipment for the foot massage is a joke as well and itās old and rusty It would be interesting to find out if these people Even hired legitimate masseuses I dare them to leave one silly reply to this because they have nothing to say. It's just flat out discrimination. They tried pulling the whole oh she's an independent contractor she can come and go as she pleases but I was there with the owner last week and I specifically booked a massage with Orsi she could've told me that she doesn't wanna see me instead of wasting my time I will be discussing this with a lawyer as this is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGave this as a gift to my partner. This is her response š¤·š¾āāļø:
I did the hour deep tissue massage with Jeff. The receptionist was great and super helpful with booking so I had a good first impression. But once Jeff took over it went quickly downhill. The room was giant, almost like a warehouse with everyone in the same room but separated by fake walls so you can hear the gross sounds of other massages very close by. Jeff never spoke to me or asked if I had any injuries, how much pressure etc. He just started pushing on me with all his strength till I lost my breath. idk what style that is but I then explained that i wanted the time spent on only a few specific areas (shoulders and feet) and what style. Everything he did was uncomfortable. I had to interject multiple times to ask him to go lighter or change etc. the worst part was that despite me asking for only specific areas to massage he still focused on my glutes and upper thighs for an uncomfortably long time (as a woman this was not enjoyable and made me suspect this was one of THOSE kinds of joints). I have never had to ask a masseuse so many times to change what they were doing. Not one second of this massage was enjoyable. Also the place is disgusting. They use Fabreez and the bathroom had broken locks and soap and just put paper towels over the face hole. Then when I left another receptionist (a man not the woman) actually shamed me for leaving a tip.
Pros: free 90 min parking across the streetā¦. I...
