Fosters Freeze — Restaurant in Santa Paula

I recently went to your location in santa paula california. This was my first visit in a while. I decided to use the drive through. As I came to be next I approached the speaker box to place my order the girl "Laura" on the intercom says hello, and if I'm ready. I struggle to find something on the menu and in a haste order fries, then asking about zucchini sticks, Laura gets upset that she can't hear what I'm saying and tell me she can't hear me so I offer to call the store and place my order she says she can't do that.. I then explain well if you can't hear me how can I order. She suddently can hear me so I continue to place my order she repeats it back telling me what I ordered I said it was wrong that there was an extra fry. So once we get the order corrected I swing around to the window to receive my order the woman then comes up to me at the window and say that I was rude to her at "MY store" she made it clear then the store manager comes over I'm now recording the incident because this was the most bizzare interaction at any fast food place I've ever been to.. the girl had no right to speak to me that way, this may be a small franchise in Santa Paula CA but it says a lot about the owners that staff their franchise I felt excluded, because I was Mexican, I felt singled out and attacked and all I wanted was some lunch.. great customer...

So, when I think Foster's Freeze, the last thing I would ever think about is "this is a place to have great tacos". This location seems to be the only one I have ever been to that didn't feel or taste "fast foody". I was told the tacos here were really good so I had to try it out and to my very reluctant surprise, I was blown away. The shells are fresh and the meat was restaurant quality, tender and flavorful. This is a location that is truly doing something right. Don't knock it til you try it, but they made a believer out of me. I had both the regular beef tacos and the fish tacos. I tried the Chicken Sandwich for the 1st. 2 weeks ago and have had it a few times since. The Sandwich was really GOOD! It has a nice soft Wheat Bun, it has become my Favorite thinkings to have there! I'm really good friends with the owner and his family so if I want some type of Burger type "fast food place" I go there. Plus the product quality is a WHOLE LOT BETTER then Mc.D's. Jack's & Carl's. We don't have many choices as far as fast food, Drive Thru Burger Places. And too top it off they have the best Shakes, Sundays, And Ice Cream Cones in all of Santa Paula!
