I am genuinely sad to be leaving this review because my family and I have always loved this restaurant. This place used to be incredible, I was so excited to see that brunch was being offered again after taking a short break due to staffing issues. I came for my sister’s bachelorette brunch and we were so disappointed. Our reservation was at 11:15am and it took an hour for them to take our food order, it took another hour for the food to come out, and by the time we finally left it was 2pm (We were a group of 13 which I will acknowledge makes things slower but 3 hours is insane).
Our food came out in two batches so by the time the second round of people received theirs the first group was already done eating, one person from the first group of food had half of their order missing and another person complained of raw fried chicken on her chicken and waffle benedict (their solution to this was to offer her more chicken which she declined), the second group of food that came out was four more orders of the chicken and waffles benedict, 3 of which also had raw chicken. So out of 5 of the chicken/waffles ordered, 4 of the plates we received had uncooked chicken on them, and I have since learned that 2 of those people got food poisoning from the experience. The first person who complained should have had their plate removed from the table, received a new dish with cooked chicken, and all other plates brought out should have been double checked that everything was cooked accordingly. The fact that it happened three more times after the first complaint was made is absolutely baffling.
Prices have increased, portions have become smaller, the service left a lot to be desired, they are disorganized, and the food is only half edible. I will note that the manager was apologetic and removed most of the chicken and waffle orders from our bill, and provided us with Prosecco and dessert which was a kind gesture, but it does not change how disappointed and disgusted I am by the experience. Safe and edible food is the bare minimum you expect from a restaurant and they could not...
Read moreMy date and I came here on 12/15/19. The restaurant was packed and we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. Then, we had to remind our server three times to being my orange juice while waiting for our food. I even expressed that my blood sugar was low and that I needed it soon. Our silverware and napkins were dirty too, but they only replaced one set. As far as the menus go, it was difficult to read and the menu online was easier to read instead. However, the items aren't the same. It took us 45 minutes to get our food....
As far as food allergies go, the menu had maybe around 4 options for gluten free and vegan. When I ordered the veggie hash, the server didn't seem to know what that was, even though it was listed on the menu. I specified I needed the eggs scrambled because I get sick with raw eggs. When I started eating my veggie hash, all of the vegetables were drowned in oil/grease. If I had known this, then I wouldn't have ordered this dish. The eggs were raw and everything looked messy in the skillet. I ended up getting FOOD POISONING and my date and I had to leave quickly.
For the bathrooms, there was no hand soap in the men's bathroom from what my date told me. Also, the sign had fallen off of the door and was propped up against the wall. The women's bathroom had lots of trash everywhere, smelled bad, and was dark.
We were really disappointed and hoping for a good brunch meal. Instead, we had to leave early, hungry, and sick. My date had been there earlier this year and said it used to be a LOT better, but not like...
Read moreI rated the food 3 because I rated 2 items. The spaghetti and meatballs was a 5. Absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty. But I also had a 1/2 of some kind of a Pita type sandwich with a chopped salad inside which I generously rate as a 2. Sorry, I don't remember the name of it. My girlfriend ordered it and gave half to me (It is huge, you can't eat a whole one, I took it home for later). She orders it every time and she likes it. I did not. The chunks of avocado were literally black. The lettuce was not chopped, It was torn in big pieces and also had some rotting parts. It was mostly bread or pita whatever it is and was very chewy and hard to tear (but it was definately fresh). The worst thing ever was that they charged $2.00 for a glass of water! Had I known that they charge for water I would not have asked for a glass, even though I was thirsty. I won't be back though I loved the spaghetti and meatballs with fresh tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and garlic. The service was good. The waitress was nice and efficient. But since when are restaurants charging $2 for a glass of water? I understand places are hurting because of inflation, but that was just over the top to me. My girlfriend had been there a few times and she told me the food was Italian. However, most of the dishes on the menu are German, like spatzel. I gave the pita thing to the birds when I got home. They really liked it. They ate it...
