Awesome experience and Awesome food! My wife and I are new to the area we are here for work wanted to order Chinese food and she was against it because he was afraid of what we would get I did a little research and found this place relatively close to where we are when I got there the staff and the customers were all in a great mood being very friendly and helpful one lady told me she had been coming there for 20 years and drives quite a ways out of her way because it's worth it I went ahead and ordered and she was right it was definitely worth it we will be coming here again and again this is our new Chinese food home I would highly recommend to anyone in the area to check it out the portions were great the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly it felt like we were back in Texas! still coming once a week and still loving it!

I was going to give two stars for the person getting the order but my wife said it's a 1 star. The food is not good. Four people ate and we couldn't finish it. (Not because it was too much but for the reason that it didn't have a good smell or taste. The chow mein didn't taste good. The pork fried rice had a weird smell. And the other portions were small Four seperate orders for a price of 80 dollars. First and last time coming here, very dissatisfied. We have been searching for other restaurants but others still beat the price, quality, and quantity over Great china.

Great wonton soup. And the only place I know where you can get the old fashioned chow mein with the crunchy noodles, I don't mean pan fried, I mean those tan crunchy noodles you often see on salad bars, see photo attached. Years ago we use to get it at the China kitchen on Mendocino Ave. missed for years until I found this place.

Absolutely the best Chinese food in Sonoma county and probably Marin county too. The walnut and pineapple prawns are to die for. Their Moo goo guy pan is beautiful with well cooked vegetables, chicken breast with a light brown sauce. I adore our regular order of pork pot stickers, big fried shrimp, hot and sour soup and prawn chow mein.

The usual like orange and lemon chicken is delicious. Also sweet and sour pork with green peppers cooked perfectly so good my mouth is watering.

IMO their paper wrapped chicken needs cilantro. But it's still good.

Their lunch specials are huge and include a crab raggon usually (or other appetizers), rice or chow mein and a big serving of any entrees even ones not on lunch specials. You may just get charged a bit more.

Only bad thing here imo is the dipping sauce for the pot stickers. It's oily and orange and has hardly any taste. I make my own with white vinegar, soy sauce, chopped green onions and a tiny bit of either teriyaki sauce or sugar. Jenny Lowe's used to make a sauce like mine.

I've been going to Great China for over 3 decades and even when I moved to Greenbrae I used to drive up to get it. It's the THAT good. Service is always great. I swear this one lady has been there for decades and hasn't aged a bit! Magic food ;) Highly recommend you...

I absolutely love the people at great china restaurant. HOWEVER , Am I the only family who can agree that the foods have changed and more often than not have NO TASTE AT ALL. ! ? ., now being under new ownership I feel they have tried to save money through changing their recipes. One evening before COVID 19 my entire family went to dinner there 4 out of the 7 items we ordered were tasteless, one of the dishes was beef chow main I asked for only bean sprouts cooked with it instead of veggies. They put raw cold bean sprouts on top of the warm beef chow main. I looked at my family and did say a word. We were all so surprised how much the food has changed. When we saw new ownership taking place we thought it would just be getting better from what was already GREAT BEFORE.

The first few times the food came out tasting bad I didn't say anything but today we bought lunch and waited to eat it for dinner tonight and the pot stickers were completely dry , and the taste was awful !! We don't want to take anything back because owners get offended and end up treating you badly in the end...

It was late and we wanted Chinese and this was the closes to home. I'd not been there in years because I remember years ago not being crazy about the place, but I figured who knows, it may have changed. It was 9:15 when I called to order Mongolian chicken and rice, and they close at 9:30. I asked if this was ok to get it to go now. She said yes, but can you come now? I said yes I'll be there before 9:30 which I was. When I came in she had it ready and was very rude as she took my card and threw it back at me. She asked if I wanted a receipt and I said yes. It was top dollar for the Mongolian chicken at $10 + for the dish. It was just ok, not as good as other places I go. I give 3 stars instead of 2 because they went ahead and agreed to make the food which we were hungry. But they should have said no if it were too late. I would have...
